Different stages of Shaq's career, if Lebron got to play with prime Shaq, rings would have rained from the heavens.

Yea, I think shaq is an immature baby, he really ruins it for himself with his ego everywhere he goes. That said he is a freak of nature still, but a sever headache for any team he is on.

Anyways, I don't want to, but if he is going to be so candid, I am going to have to stop by barnes and read the book

Well it was has been well documented that Kobe was kind of distance from his teammates.

One reason could be that he came in as a teenager on a team full of vets.

    Naww...

Dude was just a first class a-hole.

I got it first hand that he really didn't think his sh** stunk.

If what Shaq said in the book about the Kobe not inviting his teammates but expecting them to have his back is true then yes I agree he is an *******.

But Not many high school kids come into a situation like Kobe did with all of the vets. That still doesn't excuse his actions though.

Also Shaq clashed with Penny in Orlando too so if he clashed with two star players on two different teams chances are he was a huge problem too.

look, kobe is a loner and everyone knows that. His bestfriend and only constant companion is hoops and his competitive fire. that is just him and it is not the jolly good teammate type although he has lightened up as a vet

but shaq is a problem everywhere. He started crap with Yao, with Dwight howard, demanding the ball in Miami, talking crap about phoenix, miami, cleveland. Literally everywhere he went he was just self centered and childish. In orlando so on. He is a giant baby who needs all the attention and if he doesn't get it, he will start whining. Yao got attention, he kept trying to put him down, peopel call dwight superman, shaq's panties went up in a bunch. The guy is just immature.

Shaq didn't include the scene when Kobe, hurt by the lack of love by Papa Shaq, went to Uncle Phil for a shoulder.

    I don't see that as "destroy[ing]" Kobe...

If anything, Shaq showed that Kobe was a confident young player that knew what he was going to make out of his career. It also showed that he was fearless. I am not a Kobe "hater" or supporter, but Kobe is what he is.

A lot of Jim Gray's interviews just have a straight up ******* quality to them, the way he doggedly pursues getting the interviewee to say something that will obviously hurt them, well past the point that it becomes awkward.

    The "Pete Rose Thing"

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h4fmEbgKeh0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Just took it to the next level. Sure the guy gambled, we all know it, but to do this on the night the guy was finally being recognized and honored by baseball, in the midst of a celebration?

It makes sense that the public dislikes Jim Gray, and athletes loathe him. Guy's a dick.

Sorry to keep on with the Jim Gray thing, but it's that innocent-look, non-blinking, "do-you-think if-your-mother wasn't-a-w**** you'd-be-a better-human-being?" way that he interviews. Faux-innocent attempts to provoke.
