Shaq is colorful to say the least. Saw this thing where he made Nate Robinson lace on his size 22s and run down the court in 10 seconds, it was a funny sight Robinson flopping around in Shaq's shoes running down the court. Needless to say Nate didn't make it to the other end in 10 secs. so Shaq-daddy playfully paddled Nates fanny with one of his size 22s as punishment.
I learned not to trust a word out of Shaq's mouth. He and Barkley are almost the same except one is more arrogant than the other.
Shaq's comments about "I've killed off all the true big men" After seeing Hakeem on the court with Dwight, i kind of suspect that Hakeem could give Shaq some trouble...
Grrr ... Shaq is not even half the man Yao is. That's where the real measure is. I have never forgotten the racist remarks Shaq made when Yao was still a rookie. Towards the end of Shaq's career, he still shows his pettiness and immaturity. I would still choose a half-Yao over a full-Shaq any time. Shaq is full of sh****!
i agree with half of ur comment. shaq is immature and got away with those racist comments but i would still take a full shaq over half yao.
You should be offended that he included himself as a true big man. What he should have said is " "There's 1.5 Real Big Men in the league, plus me, an ex-big man now a paycheck casher and seat warmer." Reading the title I expected Shaq to have a brain and make a witty remark about how Yao only plays 24 minutes so he's half a big man... which would actually have been pretty clever but no it's a r****ded jab at Yao's playing style and lack of "hard" BTW have you heard of Shaq's new nickname for himself? The Big Nazghul. He goes from city to city chasing rings but in the end never gets a new one.
He is not talking about whether some1 is effective or not, he is talking about the style they play the game. Shaq has a view about the true big man, and Yao does not fit that fully, because his game is more jumpshot based, as apposed to all back the basket. He is not saying that is necessarily bad, just it isn't a true big man style, and hey, maybe he is right. Anyhow, clutchfans gotta stop taking things so personal!
