    You can use this address:

    www.hcad.org

to view the appraised value of the homes of players who live in Harris County.

Some names that I've looked at before include Horry, Cassell, Rudy T, Mcdyess, Bagwell..... only problem is if they are smart, they will register their estate in the name of a trust, in which case you can't find it using this site. Yet another stalking tool!

I would like to add a little about Van Exel's Home.

I work where Cat and Nick Van Exel live, and there was a huge storm that hit over Royal Oaks last week. Van Exel's house, which is in the process of being built, suffered a setback because of the storm. Sat. Aug 3rd was when the storm came, and there was this huge thud that was heard.

Many strands of wood that was holding Van Exel's house together collasped. There was a huge pile of wood where it obviously should not have been. It was an amazing sight, really.

His house will have a bowling alley, a theater, a stripper area (yes, I saw the pole), and He also has a six car garage.

gucci, you may talking about a different location but Mobley and Van Exel will live close by where I work as soon as van Exel's house is completed.

I thought Kevin Willis lived in the St. Germaine downtown.

In any event a lot of basketball players like to live here because of the tax structure. But it doesn't matter for income tax. Taxes are paid where the games are played. When the Rockets go to play the Knicks they have to pay NY taxes on that game check. But they also live here because the facilities at Westside are so good and the offseason competition is such a high level.

Is Van Exel's house that huge one by the lake on the 9th and 18th hole? I heard it was...that house is amazing, along with the one next to it. Who owns that one? When is Nick's expected to be finished?

Yeah, I would too think that all of the players would live in River Oaks but it's just the opposite. I know that Rudy and Clyde live in River Oaks but I think the majority live in Sugar Land/Sweetwater or in that vicinity. Also, I have run into Penny Hardaway a couple of times at River Oaks Country Club and was wondering if anyone knows if he has a residence here.

You are right Old School. As for the house next to it, I assume you are talking about the one that is completed (to the left). It belongs to no one famous really, just a guy who hit it big in the oil business. I am not sure when Nick's house will be ready.

Lots (but not all) houses on golf courses have a real expensive kind of shatterproof glass. Kind of like the plexiglass on raquetball courts, but not quite.

El Grande Queso:- You must not socialise with many River Oaks types, because I would never have thaught Shaq to be a River Oaks type!

Yetti - I don't know if you're just trying to say something because I don't like your husband(Yao), but you couldn't be more wrong. In fact, the majority of the people I socialize with happen to live in River Oaks. And there's no such thing as a River Oaks "type". All that living in River Oaks means is that you have money, and Shaq does. It doesn't take a certain type of person to want to live in the most exclusive neighborhood in the city.

I believe the stripper part on Van Exel's house cause he sure likes
being inside the strip clubs. So why not just bring it to the comfort of your own home? I know a couple of strippers that have met him (lap dances) at Micheal's and Treasures...Horry has also been spotted....
