Shane Mosley: All Systems Go to Fight Manny Pacquiao

They are both trained by Freddy Roach.. so yes they know each other. Yes they did spar for Manny's fight with Margarito. Which was pointless because Margarito fights nothing like Khan. The only reason was to simulate the reach and height advantage, which meant jack ****.

Anyway, Mosley is past his prime. He will get beat pretty bad, my guess is they will end up having to stop the fight to save his life. Mosley has SOME chance in the first 3 rounds.. after that, it's a countdown to his death.

 

Khan is already training to fight Kirk in March or April.

 

How often do they spar?

 

The only way I'd buy this fight is if they had a stellar undercard. Otherwise I'm staying away.

 

The Pacman is too nice of a guy, He'll let anybody fight him... Just give us the fight everybody wants...

 

The safer place to hide is in Jupiter. I heard Martians are also looking forward to this fight .

Khan is a regular in Manny's camp. He gets invited to the philipines everytime Manny is training. They're more than sparring partners.

 

Laughable -- who wouldn't want a piece of Manny's market? Shane made $650,000/month in '10 and he's one of Golden Boy Promotions' primary partners. He bagged close to $7,000,000 as a result of the Mayweather fight... he's far from "broke," only willing to take advantage of a quite lucrative opportunity before he checks out of the game.

 

He made millions right, and soon will be his ex-wife.

 

Weird thing is, Mosley decided to leave Golden Boy. He is no longer on their roster of promoted boxers. I assume this is to try to get a bigger chunk of money with the Pac fight. But does this mean he is also no longer a managing partner?

Anyway, yes this will be a big payday for Mosley, probably not bigger than his fight with Mayweather but then again I guess that why he decided to become a free agent.

Pac needs to step up and stop allowing his management to cherrypick opponents. I mean Mosley?.. after his sorry ass showing against ****ing Sergio Mora.. he gets a shot at Pac?! He got his ass handed to him by Floyd, then bores us to sleep against Mora and somehow he gets a shot. Same with Margarito.. he cheats...gets his ass destroyed by Shane.. comes back.. has a boring ass fight against a less than challenging opponent, and he get a shot.

Bob Arum is making a ****ing joke of the sport. At this point they could put Manny in there against a paraplegic and people will buy it. Casual boxing fans are killing the sport. If it has Manny on it, they will pay.

How about Wladimir Klitschko while we're throwing fighters completely out of his weight class out there.

 

Agree that this is a weak fight for Manny. I'd much rather see him fight Berto, but there's not any money in that. A Martinez fight would be great but I just can't see it happening with the weight difference. Of course the Mayweather fight is the ultimate opponent, but I've given up on that ever happening.
