if only battier was good enough to guard amare and shaq at the same time our real problems would be solved against the suns :(

I was at the game tonight - sat by the Rox bench, and Battier was limping around in the warm-ups. It was obvious in the 1st quarter he was barely able to guard Durant. I guess it warmed up on him so he stayed in but after half time it tightened back up and he left the game.

Side note, Landry kept an ice pack on his knee the whole game but as everyone saw in the second half he has his jump back.

That's one way to look at it.

The other is that SEA is one terrible, terrible basketball team and PJ is cluless how to devise an offense that does anything more than half-court ISO's.

To have a better understanding of how bad the Sonics are...they are 8-22 vs the Eastern Conference. And of those 8 EC wins, only 3 have been against EC playoff teams (CLE, ATL, TOR).

Well, they also beat the Nuggets just a bit back... Young teams are just wildly inconsistent.

Screw anything BEFORE the play-offs. AFTER the p/o start nobody sits hurt.

    Seed 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - this year is all but one-extra home game irrelevant.

I agree Shane needs rest and we should give it to him. BTW, what happend against Sonics? I heard he had an injury? Can you guys explain

Tracy will play Friday I'm pretty sure. He will probably play next 3 games and sit against Clippers

I think he'll go on Friday. There's too much at stake in that game.

getting 2nd seed meant meeting dallas in the first round. 3rd meant the suns.

i rather have the rox meeting the jazz at the first round.

I think Chucky can guard Amare well enough if he's not getting called for every touch foul like the last game... As for Shaq, I think the last game was an anomaly. The most important thing is to just keep him off the glass.

I would probably prefer the Jazz, too. In part because I want revenge... But do the Mavs really scare you that much more than the Jazzholes? I know they've picked it up a bit lately, but this team is still 2-11 against winning teams since the Kidd trade. I mean come on.

yeah i agree... i want the mavs. they dont have a low post presense. like the jazz do.. i mean come on.. i know brandon bass is decent but...

the reason the mavs always beat us was because of Devin Harris.
he always lit us up.. with that speed... now they have jason kidd.. hes not as much of a threat.. and hopefully the jazz can get the third seed... then we can beat them.... that would be better.. then THE HORNETS! lol

There's a difference between being a fan and a blind homer. I am not saying throw the game, what I'm saying is it's more important to set priorities this late in the season and I think the playoffs are a priority. So if we have players hurting, let's give their banged up bodies some much needed rest.
