Boys and girls, here is OUR Defensive Fundamentalist on taking a charge. This is why he is the captain of our defense. If it's been posted, please lock it up. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/xwq1EyiLUCw&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xwq1EyiLUCw&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Ok, we now have too many people trying to take charges. Shane, Hayes, and Scola. Scola and Hayes are now receiving foul calls, which doesn't allow Scola to develop on the offensive end.
shane battier can take charges and brad ausmus can block balls. other than that, they both are worthless at every other aspect of their respective sports.
i hate when guys try to run to a spot just so they can throw themselves to the floor when an opponent brushes up against them. block a shot, PLEASE !
The only problem is Shane gets as many blocking fouls -- resulting in opposition free throws and points -- as he gets charges. It's a break even scenario at best.
charges are getting out of control. in real basketball...a real charge would have u stand still atleast for a second and require u to be facing an offensive player. but now a days people are running under a offensive player at the last second, or leaning sideways etc to get the call. so guess what..we got a gazillion flops. why would anyone want to play defense when all they have to do is run under someone and fall backwards? nba needs to put more liability on the defensive player and call majority of these calls as blocks. i bet that will stop this r****ded floppin.
I'm impressed by his defensive skills. James Posey and Shane Battier are really the best take charges in the league.
