Battier's our best defender and probably our most reliable 3-point shooter. If you're saying he needs to be more aggressive, I agree. He has a decent post game (hook shot) that works well but we don't go to it enough, plus we could afford to get him some more mid-range shots. But that could be said for everybody on our team.

Exactly, what i'm saying is Shane needs to be more agressive hes to good to only shoot 1 shot the whole game. i know hes better offensively then he ever shows.
I absolutely love Shane, but I wish sometimes he could be more aggressive on the offensive end. He has the ability.
When Shane is on he can effect the whole tempo of the game, but when he's off he's pretty awful. To his defense you can say that about most players in the league.
I put it because, Shane is inconsistent. i know and i'm not the only person who says this. but i know Shane is to good to be this less aggressive. from game 2 game you can see it. Shane has a smooth jump-shot his game is based on more then defense hes not Bruce Bowen.
Then you should have put "inconsistent" in your thread title. Is it hard to understand that with a moniker like "LakersPride" when you start a postgame thread with a flaming title that people won't take offense? Get real! You have a valid point of discussion but you blew it with the inflammatory statements. Inconsistent <> Sucks. They have two different meanings. One applies to Shane's offense; the other applies to Rafer's overall game. Get it?
Shane isn't a guy who'll score off the dribble. That's not his game. He'll take the open jumper when it's there, and if not he'll make the correct pass to a teammate. Occasionally, he'll get a post up. What he won't do is force up a shot that is low percentage. This notion of inconsistency is a total mirage. Fact is, Shane is one of the most consistent players in the league. His offensive output looks sporadic because he simply doesn't take a lot of shots on average. Only Chuck and Deke attempt fewer shots per minute than Shane.
So what are you suggesting? the rockets trade Shane to Lakers for Chris Mihm and Brian Cook this summer?

dude, just admit you regret titling the thread the way you did. You are backtracking in all your posts. I actually agree that he should shoot more, and take away alot of Rafer's crap shooting, but to say he sucks is ridiculous, and deserving of the "idiot" response. Maybe you are not really an idiot, but your thread title was idiotic.
