Short-term Battier.
Long-term Ariza.

I would keep Ariza. Especially considering after next year, we are going to be rebuilding most likely.

I would go with Ariza, love battier, but he has met his limit....we don't know Ariza's potential yet.

if we had to give one up BEFORE this season? I would say Trevor. Not only do we not know how he is going to perform without Kobe, but Shane is a great inspiration for the team and can knock down the three not to mention amazing defense. At some point this year it will get depressing for the team because with Yao out our chances of going deep in the playoffs are extremely slim. In fact, our chances of making the playoffs are questionable, so Shane would be great inspiration to keep going on.

 

For the next two seasons? Battier.
Beyond that? Ariza.
