You know, translators these days make pretty big bucks. Ever thought about a career in direct translation?

    On topic: Great read.

Another article from Las Vegas on Shane Battier by Xiong Chao of MVP Magazine. I'm not going to translate this word by word, but just the summary.

Shane Battier took some time off to visit a Korean temple while in Korea.

I really like this guy.... I think he will have the biggest impact other that Tmac and Yao on the team...

I can see him being the energy guy... our defensive stopper...and our garbage guy who puts in the easy rebound... our gets the open lay up....

    didn't know he's this skinny...

i'm really excited about this new team especially the addition of Shane. He indeed can play effectively with superstars..

    great work pryuen!

i was curious to read this from battier (below), sounds like he thinks he's going to be manning the 2&3 spots, not pf...

battier: "In defense, I will spend much of my energy shutting down the best shooters from the opposing teams."

Bill Walton during the USA Basketball vs. Korea game:

"When they brought Bruce Bowen to the team in March, it was with the idea that he would bring the perimeter defense the USA team had lacked previously...now, it's Shane Battier they turn to. When an opposing player starts getting hot, they just sick Shane on him."

    Mad Dog!

i think when your on a team full of superstars, someone's bound to be restricted from doing their best. id rather have everyone doing a little bit of something rather than a select few that do everything. wouldn't you agree?
