also, if we were to compare stats, then lets go the full distance, why not?

    REGULAR SEASON

PPG: Mo -15.8, Terry - 12.7 (Mo was the 2nd best player he received the full defensive treatment from the other team)

    APG: Mo - 5.3, Terry - 3.8 (!!!!!!)

RPG: 3, 1.8 (again mo wins here, its not that important, but that extra rebound could be the difference between a win and a loss)

3pt%: 43 vs 36% thats an astounding difference.

    PLAYOFFS

Mo shot 41 percent these playoffs, jason terry??? belowww 38%!

if people were willing to trade for mo back when he was on the bucks and we didn't have the aaron we had today, then why wouldn't we do that now hes more experienced and is much more of a winner?????????????

Bet you would take a Bobby Jackson if he was on your team.

Sorry, not trading two or one of our biggest bargaining chips for an older pg when we still have all intentions of bringing both pgs back next season..

I say it's a bad trade for both teams. Even though their contracts are expiring, if Cleveland is in a win now mode, why would they want Battier and Jeffries? And, I think Houston can do better than Mo Williams.

I wouldn't even trade Jeffries for Mo Williams, much less the Batman.

Why Mo Williams when we have Kyle Lowry on a MUCH better contract...

Yep, he nothing like Bobby Jack. Just that he's MUCH better.

Bobby Jackson didn't shoot over 40 percent on three pointers on any season he was in the nba. if he could be 6th man of the year, and jason terry got 6th man of the year after going from atlanta to dallas and is still a contender for the award, why couldn't Mo Williams?

One of the worst off season trade poll ideas I have seen so far. Trading two good defenders for an inconsistent point guard, in which we don't need, is not something the Rockets need. We already have two very capable PG's, we don't need another PG.

Btw we do have enough scoring power. Ranked 8th in the league at 102.4 ppg without Yao.

So you're dismissing my usage of playoff stats but then go and praise Terry's performance in the playoffs and his clutchness in the playoffs?

The average knowledgable NBA fan knows Terry can handle the pressure moreso than Mo Williams. The stats I presented just further proves it.

Wait...where exactly are you getting your stats from? Oh that's right, your "regular season" stat for Jason Terry's PPG is actually the stats from THIS YEAR'S PLAYOFFS.

Anyone that wants to know what Terry's PPG REALLY IS can go here and how ironic that Terry's numbers AS A SIXTH MAN (16.6) is better than Mo Williams' numbers as a starter

Oh how convenient. You manage to take Terry's ppg from the PLAYOFFS (rather than the REGULAR SEASON you had labeled it under) but now you're shifting gears BACK to regular season stats. If you're going to stat-check me, at least keep it consistent.

Yes, Mo Williams is a FAR superior rebounder than Jason Terry.

What are their career numbers if you don't mind me asking?

LOL "Terry sucks at 38% but lets get Mo because he's 3% better at 41%!!" I'm sorry but this is the most absurd thing I've read in a while because BOTH players were horrible in the playoffs this year. If you think 41% is worthy of trading Battier and Jared Jeffries for, I think Steve Francis can be had for the vet. minimum. BTW, Francis' is also a better rebounder than Mo as well  LOL

You accuse me of cherry picking stats but, evident by your OWN inconsistent stat posting, you're doing the same thing, if not worse.

    1. Jason Terry's PER as a SIXTH MAN the past 3 seasons has been better than Mo Williams' 2 seasons as a Cavalier

    2. You want to compare assists per game for a player that starts and plays 35 minutes a game to a player that comes off the bench and plays 2 minutes less? 5.3 vs 3.8 is roughly 2 assists (I'll round up to humor you). Whose to say Terry couldn't muster another assist in that 2 minute difference? What's even more ridiculous is that their CAREER APG is EXACTLY. THE. SAME.

And I just checked the polls to see if I was the only one that wouldn't do this crazy deal and it seems 83% (as of 8:48 PM) agrees with me that no one in their right mind would trade for Mo Williams, much less trade Battier and an expiring contract for him.

I'll admit, I don't think I've ever seen a trade idea that absolutely no one wants. That is an accomplishment.
