Battier will play Melo better than Monta.

Speedy SG/SF gives him major problems, we saw this last year. It's on the coach to realize this, put his players in the right position to make the right plays (in this case for Battier on the bench watching the game) Battier had no business guarding Monta after the 1st qtr.

I thought Courtney Lee played better defense on Monta than Battier did. Maybe Courtney plays better defense on iso players than he does off the ball scorers. I wouldn't mind experimenting with Lee replacing Battier in the starting lineup. More offense, and I think Lee is the kind of guy who plays better against better competition, and he'll get more focused playing against a star than a nobody. Not sure if Battier fits with the 2nd unit though, may have to move him to 3rd string and start Taylor over him.

Well its two games. If Battier proves me wrong? That means that Lee and Budinger dont eat into his time to make the Rockets win and he is the person with the most minutes and they stay the same as we win? Then thats fine for me.

I think one of those things will happen when we start winning. Lee and Budinger get his minutes more. Something happens like a trade to make us better. Lowry comes back to help cover up for SHANE and Brooks deficiencies along with Martin.

We'll see if you stick to that when we finish the season with a lot more wins than losses....

He needs to ease up on the singing and go do some more defensive slides and wall sits or something...

This is priceless coming from you, lol. You're hilarious. I remember when you defended Battier until the very end in that one thread and made your self look silly talking about in-depth quantitative stats you knew nothing about to try and make Battier look good. You also freaked out a while ago and started a thread when I said that Battier was never the defender Bruce Bowen was, but just a short time ago you posted and said that you would love to have Bowen in his prime on the Rockets, lol. You've contradicted yourself so many times that you have no credibility. You're like a mini-DaDakota, lol. Just remember I was one of the earliest people who saw all this coming vis-a-vis Battier while blind sheep like yourself defended him at all costs.

Thats not an indication at all. Its the role he will play in those wins. I never said we couldnt win despite him. I say he is dragging the team down in what he is capable of still. Should Adelman be able to find the rotation that hides all of his players weaknesses at the right amount of minutes doesnt mean Battier was the direct result of how many wins we have. He will have contributed probably in his role as a minor role player.

2 games. One when Battier had the best +/- on the team and played some pretty good D, and another one where he didn't but nobody else could stop Monta either. That's so much worse than shooting 4-11 and a DNP...ZOMG trade Yao.

Make threads like this when Battier sucks for more than a game or two.
