Kevin Garnett (young)
David Robinson
Shaq (younger)
Kareem, Wilt, and many other centers

All of those players could stifle offensive players on defense (and shutdown opposing players) and give great offensive effort at the same time.

 

and lebron IS doing that. don't just watch those ESPN highlights and assume all he does is block shots. but again, he literally controls EVERYTHING the cavs do offensively also.

personally, i thought lebron deserves his props defensively. kobe/paul on the other hand are iffy.

 

I hear what you are saying but because you are allowed to roam around and camp in the passing lanes imo shouldn't really qualify you as a elite defender.

 

I've watched Cav games this year, he has become great defender, there are better people out there though.

 

Uh no. Kevin Garnett is the best defensive player in the game. It's an absolute joke how disrespected he is because he doesn't fill up the stat sheet like Howroids over here.

 

Kobe and CP3 on the 1st All-Defensive team is such a joke but then all these awards are just Stern's way of building up his stars.

One more thing: Derek Fisher got one vote from the coaches. You gotta be kidding me. On what planet is he a defensive force?
