I would love to keep SA, but as long as the Rockets win, I don't care WHO plays in the 4th quarter.

PS. SA started slow last year, and I was all over him, this year he loses his MOM just before the season starts, and again starts slow. Give the man a break.

Shandon is my all around favorite Rocket player, can be real explosive on the "D" than any of the other rocket players. It will be sad if the Rockets organization will let this versatile player go to another team. Also, if I may add that, There was a real crucial game that he just simply sparks on the defense and offense that win us the game!Shandon is the most important piece of the puzzle!!!!!

I think this issue is somewhat overblown. And I do find it rather interesting that a journalist from Ogden, Utah of all places is the one who broke this "story".

But I do think that if Shandon is unable to find his niche in this offense, then the Rockets' chances of re-signing him are not all that great. I have a feeling that he will eventually start playing better and more in the flow, though.

For the time being, I see no need to panic.

    HP,
Perhaps I should have added "publicly" to the statement, "whine a peep". The fact is, Shandon has been ignored in the offense much too often the past two seasons in Houston, and to my knowledge he never complained about it. For a guy who sacfriced money to be part of something special with the Rocks, that is commendable. And even if what some biased reporter from Utah writes is true and not blown out of proportion, that doesn't make the man a whiner.

Jazz fan rules...there's no sports fan like him. How can so much bitterness be attributed to one group of people. You would think God would allocate these things a little bit more evenly.

I think the event was probably blown completely out of proportion so McJazz hack can get a little shot in how much better off Shandon would be if he had stayed.

Not that 17 min and an 0fer should be dismissed, and there were a lot of times last year when I thought Shandon should be in there toward the end and he wasn't. But for the personal side of it, I don't think there's anything to worry about it. Shandon needs to be able to contribute more, though, and that's on Rudy and Cat

    This from The Sporting News:
    (full article at: http://www.sportingnews.com/voices/dave_dalessandro/20001119.html)

    Playing favorites

Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich has a tiff to settle in his starting backcourt, and soon. Turns out shooting guard Shandon Anderson is miffed at being an afterthought in the offense, and he puts all the blame on point guard Steve Francis, who everyone knows has a distinct preference for backup shooting guard Cuttino Mobley. Rocket-watchers say Francis hardly looks for Anderson anymore.

i would be really upset to see shandon go. but every game it looks more and more likely. he wasnt even out there in crunch time. unfortunetly i really do blame francis. he just doesnt look to give him the ball. true shandon could assert himself alot better but...

shandon is invaluable with his defense. therez almost no one that plays as hard on D. im real upset that he is feuding w/ steve. i dont think mobley sucks but it would be nice if he looked to dish once in a while.

thats why i say the rockets offense is well boring and can be stopped. until we get some passsing and movement we will be a mediocre team if we play playground ball every game.
