What playing time will Jeff Green get with Jared Allen and DeAndre at center? Is he going to play 4 and 3 again when he is clearly a small ball 5? Jeff going to fade into obscurity again.

he has the versatility of playing anywhere from the 3 or 5. that's the key. having the attribute of being versatile. He isn't relocated to one position. great pickup for the nets, big loss for the rockets with 0 depth

I agree, bad move for him. He was getting a ton of run here and I think he gets lost in that rotation but it is depth for them.

For the Rockets, well...any player we lose at this points hurts...a lot. Especially Green.

Look at the bright side. Maybe he'll get waived again and we can pick him up mid season again. Get paid twice. 5D chess.

That's why he has been a journeyman for his career. Nobody used him like the Rocket used him. that 3-4 position did not work for him as much as the small ball 5 did. In the NBA, as a fringe player, you find your niche and stick to it.

MDA didn't even spam Jeff PnR's the way he should have in the playoffs. I was really hoping to see what Silas was going to do.

at this point of his career it doesn't matter. he's obviously ring chasing and him leaving doesn't help the rockets situation concerning harden and his desire to leave

Are we still assuming Harden is staying? I thought Harden leaving before the season starts was a done deal. Maybe I'm not keeping up with the Harden news enough. But this move makes more sense if you assume Jarret Allen is going to be part of the Harden trade.

imo him leaving tells us a little more about the rockets situation. There's no point in sticking around if it isn't likely a mess. Which the signs point to still coming. Jeff Green chooses to be stuck here without Harden. Nah no thanks. Rivers is next

Rockets have said they will go into the season with Harden despite him wanting to get traded.

Jared Allen is the softest big in the league. I really don’t like him. I’d rather take the Brooklyn deal without him included

Bad move? He goes to a team with certainty with its stars. An owner willing to spend to win. A good GM. Reunited with MDA. And he has a legitimate chance at a ring.
Oh plus he gets away from Tilmans toxic ass.

    It’s a great move.

He has a contract, Stone won't leave stones unturned but he won't trade him there if he controls it.

He was a great fit, here’s to hoping Tate can contribute.

Wood will replace a lot of what Jeff gave us, but this makes the need for a big man, and wing depth greater.
