I don't get why they couldn't waive House as the trade / move happens...if there even is a trade or move. Is it part of the rules that you have to have more open roster spots than warm bodies before a trade? Like if the number of players on the roster was "X" and the trade would make your roster "X+1," why not waive House when the trade actually occurs?
Tillman in financial trouble. Maybe contract was going to be guarantee so they had to waive him instead of dead weight like Chrrisss and MCW or even Melo??
Financial trouble... no. The guy might buy Caesar’s for crying out loud. He’s doing okay I’m sure. Is he a financial micro-manager... ding ding. The fact that House was costing them 30k a day and they didn’t technically have to waive him for some time speaks volumes. And great point about Melo and MCW especially. If it was about basketball, these other dead weight salary guys would get cut instead.
I think either way Clark was returning to the rotation. He had an injury he played through (hip I believe?) and maybe it was affecting his game and he needed to sit for a while. Clark is way better than House, and far more likely to improve given he has far less experience and is a couple years younger. It would be ridiculous to play House over Clark if they have roughly similar impact on the floor. House is a good 10th man at best for a contender. Clark could be a contender-level backup 4 by season's end. Also, we don't need a 2/3 as much as we need a 3/4. At the 2/3 we have Harden, Gordon, Ennis and Green.
I agree Melo deserves minutes over MCW. However, I doubt if he wants to play anymore after being told that Clark was ahead of him in the rotation.
Is AXG reliable? I'm not trying to ridicule him in any way, but I haven't heard of him as an insider. Any positive move would be welcome. My hopes aren't high since our management is negotiating from a position of weakness. Strange things do happen though. I want to see a solid backup PG for CP3.
