Tate really isnt that good he cant shoot and others are better passers and his defense isnt as great as made out to be. Unless he improved drastically in the shooting arena whatever minutes he gets early season will be reduced by trade deadline.
He is a excellent fit but if we could get a trade with Portland for Robert Williams….we are in the playoffs and he would be a better fit than Lopez.
Tater tot is a Udoka kind of guy. He is getting on the floor somewhere. It is a good question as to where though.
Any word on if it is the vet minimum or uses the room exception? My guess is if they aren't able to trade KPJ, it will be room exception. Vet min if KPJ is traded.
I hope he plays there a little while then they bring him here and he gets solid minutes. Nix dominated G league it really doesn't help the way people make it out to help. He's just playing little leaguers. He needs to play with the big boys.
No one here thinks Tate has a higher ceiling than Whitmore but it's just a clown take to pretend like Tate isn't one of the 10 best players on this team. Thank the good lord we won't be watching teenagers play significant minutes again this season, that the time on the clock actually means enough that it isn't just on the job training anymore. The rebuilt veteran structure is already showing so many benefits. What's absolutely mind boggling too is that the people that believe in Whitmore seem to think he's a finished product. Like, don't even think about how good he could be with some actual development time.
