SAS fans weren't happy about it. He probably saw a bigger role here and he can showcase to get one last contract. Benefits him to play well.
LOVE his game and what he brings to the table but very confused as how we got him and whose minutes he'll take up. Rockets have some very legit defenders on their team and it doesn't hurt that he's a hell of an open shooter.
he’s made about $38 mil over 10 seasons and he’s 32. He’s probably getting 1 year of good money and the minutes to showcase his game for free agency next year. This is a good signing. He’s a veteran shooter who plays winning basketball.
Bullock’s role with the Rockets The Rockets are expected to have a significant role in the rotation for Bullock after the expected departure of Kevin Porter Jr. Rockets coach Ime Udoka has privately and publicly stressed the need to upgrade Houston’s shooting department and Bullock is one of the league’s most prolific marksmen. On Monday during media day, Udoka admitted there would have been a potential positional battle between Porter and Jalen Green and even mentioned Cam Whitmore as a name that could enter the mix, but Bullock’s pending arrival checks a number of urgent boxes for Udoka and the coaching staff and it’s expected he’ll fill the Porter void. — Kelly Iko, Houston Rockets writer Backstory Bullock, 32, was drafted in the first round by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013. He played two seasons with the Clippers before spending time on the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons — for four seasons, the longest time he’s been with one team — Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Mavericks. Before Bullock and the Spurs agreed to a buyout, the veteran small forward was in the final year of a three-year contract and was set to make $10.5 million this season. The buyout trimmed the roster for San Antonio, which still needs to waive or trade one more of the players with a guaranteed contract by Oct. 23. Bullock averaged 7.2 points, 1.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game in 78 contests with the Mavericks in 2022-23. In his 12th NBA season, he shot 38 percent from 3-point range.
Seemed like yesterday he was a rookie, that is how relevant he is, but okay signing. KPJ wished he played till 32.
Wait! So…that means tATER is gonna be disposable, n ready for a trade in which brings in Brogdon (to replace KPj)? FVV / Amen / (Brogdon) jG / Brogdon / (Whitmore) DB / Eason / (Whitmore) Bari / Uncle Jeff / Bullock Goon / Landale / (Uncle Jeff)
He has lost a step, and on offense he has become very one dimensional. He does one thing, and that is shoot threes. He used to be able to finish some and put the ball on the floor but not anymore. Defensively, he isn't as quick as he was and isn't as good a defender, but he still knows how to use his body, where to be defensively and the effort is there. Overall, a good signing for the Rockets. I am sure money is part of the equation for the Rockets - I suspect some of it is that he thinks he can get minutes and be dealt to a contender at the deadline or maybe, get a longer deal if he gets minutes with the Rockets.
