Nothing you quoted isn't true. The Nets picks do still suck and we didn't land one stud player. Find a quote with me saying I'd prefer Simmons and tag me as a fool for that one. I'm sure one exists in here. Accuracy matters ;)

We did land a young, stud player — Allen. We just messed up by trading him.

There were reports later saying he wanted to be here and was already house shopping. Anything with Klutch gets muddled. I can’t remember where it was but it was hidden in one of the Shams/Amick or Windhorst/Shelbourne pieces leading up to the Philly/Nets trade

    Ready to move on.

Unless it's a Simmons for Wall trade and even then it's a maybe.

Rather trade for similar player in Jalen Johnson instead, with a 3ball and without the back issues.

lol @ parting with any draft picks for Simmons. I would offer CWood, Gordon, Wall that's it.

A basketball player that sometimes maybe probably unsure if he wants to play basketball

I'd hang up the phone if Brooklyn called looking to give us Ben. Keep that cancer as far away from Jalen and AlP as possible.

I don’t believe any report said he actually wanted to be here…house shopping because he thought he was gonna be traded here doesn’t mean he actually wanted to be here

I think you are right. I think the wording was more Ben Simmons was prepared to be a Rocket but all I can find is this which is exactly what you said.

It logically made no sense that Simmons wanted to be traded from a contender to the Rockets who were just in the middle of blowing everything up.

Thank God Stone avoided that disaster. Never wanted him here to begin with.

It makes a lot more sense a little down the line for Houston.

I have been all about the tank for three years plan and then using cap space, but the reality is I am not sure what free agents we could target that summer. Its a bit of a short window to utilize that asset.

If Simmons needs a year to work through his issues, I would definitely send Wood / Gordon / Tate out, as those guys are losing their trade value by the day.

He also makes sense since we don't what position we will uiltimately need to fill out the roster, and he could be repurposed as either a PG or a big.

Would only offer Gordon, Wood, and Nwaba - no picks. Play him at center. I like the idea of him and Sengun taking turns running the offense out of the post.

no idea why anyone would advocate trading for another horrible player on a max deal for years but also helping the team that the rockets control their draft picks for years to come. makes no sense

no idea why anyone would want him on the Rockets…as if he’ll be dying to play for this sorry, irrelevant team

    he needs mental rehab

    Does he even like basketball?

Could you imagine the conversions him and Irving are having about how they are going to avoid playing basketball while getting paid 10s of millions?
