Shams: Jimmy Butler open to being traded to Rockets Mavericks or Warriors

the only reason Phoenix wants him is the hole they have dug themselves in with Beal. What I can't believe is that they are stupid enough to swap the two and think they will be in any better position. Durant and Booker are great players, but not great enough to get them to the finals with a roster of journeyman outside of the top 3. Riley sure as hell isn't going to get himself in the same position. Some smart GM is going to take advantage of this situation to commondere some draft picks or one of Booker or Durant down the road.

 

Don't really want Fox that much, but I'd be willing to do this:
Houston out FVV, Rockets 2029 frp, Rockets 2031 frp, all 3 2025 2nd round picks.
Houston in: Fox, Monk
Sac in: Jimmy Butler, Rockets 2029 frp, Rockets 2031 frp
Heat in: FVV, 3 2025 Rockets 2nd Round pick

Based on the Luka and Fox trades that happened, it looks like Miami won’t get anything close to what they’re asking for in return for damn near 40 year old Jimmy Butler. Pat Riley will probably just hold onto Jimmy in spite and waste the final years of his contract with the Heat.

This is wild to me, I went to Tomball High School with Jimmy, I never knew him well but the diva that he’s turned into today is definitely not something I could’ve foreseen all those years ago. Rumor around town was that money really changed him for the worse and it definitely appears that way to me.

 

Thinking a 3 team trade: MIA - CHI - PHX

CHI: Beal (PHX) + whatever draft picks PHX has left

PHX: Butler (MIA) + Richardson (MIA)

MIA: Ball (CHI) + Vuc (CHI)

Now that CHI has its 2025 pick back... can fully bottom out. Plus since off of LaVine's contract could add Beal.

MIA stays relevant & competitive in the LEastern Conference. Plus if include Richardson, they can get under 1st apron.

Chicago (college coach + close to STL) & Miami were supposedly 2 of the teams he was willing to waive his NTC for. Miami said no (but that's when they wanted to make a play for Luka)

Still praying Butler somehow ends up in Golden State and he and Draymond get into daily fights where they beat the hell out of each other.

Shams Charania: The Phoenix Suns are fully focused on trying to get a deal done for Jimmy Butler. From everything I’m told, they are working on three-, four-, and five-team trade scenarios to figure out a pathway for Jimmy Butler.

The Rockets should be all over this in order to get some extra draft picks the way the Jazz did in the Luka trade.

 

We should sabotage this....KD will be out of there. This protects our assets from Suns becoming a middling team and not a lottery team.

 

People in hell want ice water. Selfishness has an end and he can meet his by being traded to another team. He is picking up that option 100%.

 

Once again, get Jimmy as a playoffs rental and promise to trade him in the off-season to PHX so he can get his $$$.

Phoenix would still be over the 2nd apron and would have the same problems acquiring Butler as they do now. Are we going to take on Beal's contract for one year of Jimmy Butler? I think not. Phoenix has no shot at improving their team without Beal's cooperation and another stupid GM like Dallas.
