Beal has regressed so much, to the point that I question his abilities and desire to play.

The Pistons could facilitate the trade by taking on Beal and sending Hardaway and Stewart to the Heat.
Would they do that straight up?
Would they require a pick? The Suns have their own 2031 2nd rounder plus 2026 and 2031 2nds from Denver they could include.

No way Detroit takes on Jimmy for 2nd rounders. That is the Heat's conundrum. They think they should get first round picks for Jimmy and other teams think they should pay 1st round picks to get rid of him.

I didn't suggest the Pistons take on Jimmy.

The Pistons aren’t going to have interest in paying Bradley Beal 53M next year and 57M in 2026-2027 when Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey is their backcourt of the future. Also, Beal isn’t going to waive his no-trade clause to go to Detroit. Phoenix is screwed when it comes to acquiring Butler and moving Beal.

    Luka and SGA

But, there's zero chance they actually go to free agency. They'll either get extensions with their current team or be traded to the team they get extensions from.

Nobody gets to free agency anymore, but we know that Riley will certainly work behind the scenes to promise someone a signing.

When Jimmy was injured last year, he was on Instagram talking about how great he is and his impact, Pat Riley saw this while the Heat were getting man handled in the first round and he pretty much decided then that he was not getting another extra dollar from them. Pat Riley called him out at the point, you could tell it was over then.

Luka (player option) & SGA are UFA

Chet, Banchero & Jabari are RFA

I saw something about Beal the other day saying "I hold all the cards" in regards to him being traded or not.

"I hold all the cards. I haven't been approached on the topic."

No way he's accepting a trade to a worse team in a shithole city to boot.

    Really don't blame him either.

After chatter of Jimmy open to all 29 teams. Grizz appears to be out.

Chris Haynes: 'Sources: A few teams have been informed not to trade for Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. The Memphis Grizzlies along with a few other teams, have received word that Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has no interest in being traded there.'

Jimmy knows Mat Ishbia will give him a lucrative extension. Jimmy is open to one team, Phoenix. Jimmy doesn't like misunderstanding. Jimmy and misunderstanding kinda clash.

Butler...no thanks. He is in a contract year, so he will be forcing up shots which will hurt the chemistry this team has.
    Beal...that contract is terrible

the Heat will make Beal look like an All-star again. The deal makes sense for both parties and Beal will definitely waive his no-trade to go to Miami.

With the new second apron rule, Miami isn’t taking on the $110M owed to Beal in 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. If they would, Butler would have been a Sun weeks ago. Butler either needs to open up his list of teams like Damian Lillard did last year, or he’s going to play out the year in Miami. Then, he will be forced to sign with Brooklyn or Detroit (the only teams with cap space to offer a max contract) or have his agent work with Riley to facilitate a sign and trade with a contending team.

When did I say this? I don't recall ever saying this, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

On one of the podcasts about the trade deadline I believe. I remember you saying it, and being like... yeah it sounds crazy, but if you are looking at the trade market and what teams are paying that's actually comparable.

I took your comment as more of commentary on the insanity of the trade market demands than anything. My comment here is that I don't see any evidence that the market has cooled off for players like this given the Mikal Bridges trade... but maybe I'm wrong and it has.

I get it that people here see Jalen every day, and we see his flaws more than most, but I do think that there's a bit of a lack of objective view of Jalen's value if you take yourself out of the perspective of a Rockets fan. If I was a GM would I personally give up 4 first round picks to trade for him... no... but let's be honest... if hypothetically Rafael Stone connects with Shams about putting out a report on the Rocket's asking price for offers for Jalen Green is there anyone here who think's he not going to demand something similar to what Beal, and Bridges commanded in a trade?? And could two teams be willing enough to bid against each other to satisfy what Stone needs to move on a deal....?? That's kind of my point to look at it objectively.

You're going to see a lot more guys get to free agency due to the apron rules.

"Losing him for nothing" is going to be not as bad as it used to be, when the alternative is "take on salary and hit apron penalties"

Suns got all this top end talent, but are still a below .500 team and just lost to the Hornets

there is something fundamentally wrong with that team
