Didn't Sengun have a similar fall earlier this year and miss a couple games?

He may well take the shot but killing pain doesn't mean a bruised muscle can perform as normal. He hobbled off, that was no act dude couldn't even stand up straight. If he's gassed up enough to play it won't be the Butler you expect.

If this is the case, it's not a serious injury at all. Some ice and painkillers should do the trick. Need him to play so GSW cannot use his injury as an excuse if they lose the series. Rockets were already hammering them before his injury.

GSW fans will always have excuses. They are already claiming game two was rigged for the Rockets. I much prefer winning this series in any scenerio and getting drunk off their tears.

It’s not like the Warriors are the best team in the league. They are old and on a downward slide. They acquired Jimmy as a last-ditch effort to hold onto past glory. He got them past the play-in. But if he doesn’t play, who cares? We will beat the team they were all year. When you stack your team with old guys, injuries are inevitable.

If they were to win this series, nobody on their side is going to shed a tear that they beat a team with almost zero playoff experience and wish that we had more experienced players to go against them.

Not only that, but if we beat the Lakers/Wolves winner (and I think we will if we get past the Warriors in decent form), then nobody is going to remember which Warriors were or were not injured in our series.

... That said, I still hate all the "we only won because Jimmy was out" takes, which will only get louder if we win the next game, even if Jimmy plays but struggles. I guess this is what Warriors fans were used to hearing during all their lucky ass title runs (except 2022).

Very true. Nobody, I mean absolutely nobody other than Rockets fans, remembers CP3 not being able to play the last game or so in 2018. All they remember is the Warriors winning another ring.

They also remember Harden not being able to lead a team to 1 more win.

Indeed. I had a similar fall playing at the Y. It took me 6 weeks to return. Maybe they will shoot him up but that thing will tighten up during the game.

I hope Jimmy misses the entire series. I don't care at all about "beating them at full strength". The most important thing for our guys is playoff experience. That's what we should all really be after this season. I want them to see as many games as possible and as many series as possible. I want them to learn what the playoffs are like, and how the game is called. I want them to learn what it looks like when you gameplan specifically for a long series against one team, instead of the "going through the motions" of the regular season. When you really break down the other team, study film, and you change up every single thing you're doing to counter that team. It's almost an entirely different sport at that point. And they're also doing the same thing for us, so then our guys have to figure that part out. When you adjust, and they adjust, then you adjust to their adjustments, and they adjust to your adjustments. This is a skillset you literally cannot build at all in the regular season, the only way to do it is to play in the playoffs. Getting to a second series, and getting to do it all over again going up against a new team, new personnel, new coaching staff, that's all just so important. So that's what I'm interested in. I just want to maximize the playoff experience for all of our guys, and our coaching staff.

If Jimmy is out for the entire playoffs. I will do a fist pump. Karma is a biitch. If Donkey had behaved himself properly, I would have been feeling sorry for Jimmy. Not in this case, the hatred for these sorry ass Warriors supersedes everything else. We must not let up though. Fight for every rebound, hound Curry like he stole your PlayStation, put your foot on their neck and never let go and DO NOT turn the ball over.

Where are you getting that? I think there is a TINY chance he misses one game but that’s the absolute maximum. Obviously i hope we never see him again and more warriors get injured but i doubt it.

I just saw it briefly but that could be fake news. I changed my post though. Although I know that injury is tough to overcome in a short amount of time. You can’t move right when your ass is literally on fire.

I think it's likely fake news, Kerr said he's optimistic Butler will play tonight and the warriors are favored by 3.5. Vegas almost always knows.
