I think he'll play on Saturday, but he won't be close to 100%.

If we tie it up in GS, the hidden odds are bigly rigged for Game 5.

Rox need to tire them out, we have the youth. Game 3 usually determines the winner.

It will be a tough game with or without Butler. First playoff road game for the younger players (Playoff Chase Center is not anything Toyota Center) and Steph will likely go for 50+. I'd say let Steph cook and attempt to shut down the rest. Just keep it close.

I'm guessing the opposite. Amen will hound Curry. FVV will be on Draymond eliminating GSW from trying a 2-man game with Curry and Draymond. Sengun will "guard" Moody (be in general area of Moody for closeouts, but more focused on helping inside and securing boards). Brooks will try to preswitch to whoever he thinks Curry will use as a screen such that either Amen or he are on Curry most of the time. Green takes Podz.

Getting open or getting Sengun on him are really Curry's only chance to go off. Without Butler, they are going to have a tough time to force mismatches. Other than maybe Green on Green or Kuminga if he plays (his defense has looked bad lately) on either Green or FVV, the Rockets can switch whenever they want 1-4 to keep Sengun out of actions when Butler is off the court.

I expect the Warriors to keep his status up in the air until game time. They'll announce he's playing to the surprise of the raucous Warriors crowd which will give them an extra boost and the Warriors players will come out like gangbusters.

    Play? Don't play? Don't matter.

    We're the better team.

    Not worried about Butler.

    I'm worried about the offense.

Our defense is what is going to get us in trouble because Draymond and Co are going to be flopping around like crazy and embellishing everything.

Probably wish death on all warrior players and coaches :D

Jokes aside, let's be real, at some point this series donkey is going to do something ridiculous. From all the **** that he pulled on Harden in the past, and then also that spencer **** putting in a cheapshot shove going full speed to the back of Amen... I only expect the worst of the worst from gsw.

It does seem like we're the first team to actually fight back and deal out even more **** to the class bully. No reason to go lightly now - I sincerely hope Ime puts in Jae'sean for a few minutes to seriously think about undercutting Jimmy or Steph.

Dude im like legit worried for the health of our guys

Edit - not Steph, I have no issues with Steph he is not a dirty player or a bad person. Draymond, Moody and Pat Spencer are the problem. Jimmy just flops, is a foul merchant and has a big mouth but he isn't dirty either like Steph

You ever had a deep muscle contusion? I’m not saying he’s not playing but he’ll be useless. I once had a deep contusion to my thigh and I couldn’t walk, lay down, or sit down for damn near a week. Every time my abs fired it would trigger the most intense pain.

Depending on the pain level and severity I would not be surprised if he missed games.

No you put Steph in the torture rack. Throw everything at him. You tire him out and make him work for all 48. You make the others beat you. Game 3 is everything for Golden State. If they get beat at home and lose the advantage and the Rockets really start to feel themselves and realize they can bully the Warriors its a wrap.

Too many calls for us to intentionally injure their players--I don't want that. Only thing I want us to injure is their pride, by outplaying them on the basketball court

Well, I wouldn't shed any tears if Draymond got hurt, though.

Most of us have been down this road with GSW and playoff battles far too often in the past decade to know that playing fair only gets you so far against GSW. You can be the much better team for the game, and for the series and still end up losing because of all the antics and 5v8 bs going on. Those Harden teams... we did everything to outplay them, and also played clean and fair basketball on our part - yet we still got left with a bitter taste.

I think this time around, GSW is really feeling the extra bit of physicality from this Rockets team. If they insist on playing dirty, we need to continue upping up the physicality regardless of how the game is called. Let Steph and Jimmy know that any time they jump for a rebound or go for a shot, there's going to be something waiting for them. Let them second guess everything. For once, it feels good as not just a Rockets fan, but a basketball fan.. to see lowlife GSW shitheads getting their ass handed back to them.
