He is overall elite in that he is able to guard 5 spots well above average. There are guys that can guard a particular position better but there are only 1-2 guys in the league that can guard all 5 spots as well as he does.
I earlier today said the Rockets were talking to the Nuggets but in regard to sending Beasley to Minnesota... but Collins was supposedly too expensive for the Rockets in trade.
who says they will even meet though ? who is to say we dont take down the clippers before then ? then the lakers can just beat up on our small front line.
4th team is Denver. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=woeakxa Rockets can make separate trade for Looneybif necessary. But there are other options for essentially a back up 5.
I don’t think Capela guards Davis any better than Tucker or Covington would. Also, I wish the Lakers good luck playing a traditional center against the Rockets smaller line up. I have always viewed the 5 as the most important position on the court, but under the modern rules it is by far the least important position on the floor.
If Denver gets in this deal then I really hope Morey tries to acquire Malik Beasley along with Juancho. Both would be great, one would be good.
He’s shooting it at a tad under 35%. That’s not bad. Maybe with more space, he could get that up to the high 30s.
I know everyone is concerned about a back up center but the Rockets will get one. They have even toyed with the idea of targeting MKG to play some 5 if he is released.
In past years I'd agree. He has been hurt, so hasn't been quite that level this year. Hope he can get there though!
Exactly! Need to focus on 3-D forwards first. Rockets will start 3. One of 3 needs to be able to play screener/diver and dunker when Russ out. That's not RoCo or Tucker.
