You are talking about different issue now. I was saying IF he's 100%. I didn't predict that he will. It's probably not likely to happen. IF he's 100% comes playoffs time, it's not out of the question that he can be a positive contributor.

Again, that is a Fan perspective not a professional perspective......I can see a point that he can be useful.

But dude, we are not killers, I do not want to be responsible if his career is threatened, he has to sign a heavy injury insurance.

That after his career, he can still move like a normal person and not become challenged.

I know for a fact that in the Field of Medicine that you need 2nd and 3rd Opinions, but in the NBA one certified medical practitioner can deem him close to 100% and that is enough.....without ever having to deal with re-injury and such consequences.

The NBA would be like: Oh FVV, he was undrafted and a feel good story, had his time, we are sorry and we give him a farewell game and such......but we cannot do anything.

You have to protect guys from themselves rushing back in these times and their desires.....and those forces are not many.

You have to be 200% and give it time to heal properly given that he is 31-32.

Fair but I think he would accept it because we’ve treated him right and it might be an opportunity for him to start next year.

there is really no scenario. I see him starting for us next year.

Capela+FVV+Green and maybe more in addition to a future first would likely net us a major piece.

No one will want to pay him $25m next season. Just inform his agent that we’re definitely not picking up the option.

Convince him to accept a trade by offering him some safety: if he waives his trade clause right now, we promise we offer him a 2 year full mle deal next summer which he doesn’t necessarily have to sign but will function as insurance for him because he’s coming off ACL without a contract. If he gets a better deal, great. If we get him at that price, great.

Honestly there was no place for him on this team even when healthy except for at the start of the season. For context, we were depending on him to be one of our best shooters last season and he shat the bed. Assists were down too because we found other options. He’s clearly declining. Has always missed 20-30 games a season and that’s only going to get worse.

They’re so dumb for not trading Fred to the Suns.

It's not a team option, it's a player option. He picks it up, not us. You're completely the wrong way round on who has all the power/leverage, it's Fred. His option, his no trade clause. If we're contenders, why would he throw away £25m for a chance to play for most likely not a contender for a lot less money?
