Thanks for coming out Jeff! And please post your next gigs so I can come out. It was a fun gig, the sound was really nice, and we sold quite a few CDs, TShirts and hats. I love playing shows in record stores.
There was someone there with a digital camera, and we'll have some on the band website quite soon. I'll post it so you can check it out.
It was...THE WEATHER! Which course did you play? Did you play Sugar Hill, the most forgiving golf course on planet Earth?
We played Kingwood Cove. 98's not great, but when you've only really been playing long courses for about four months with absolutely no lessons, it ain't bad. Best part of the day...didn't break a sweat. DIDN'T BREAK A SWEAT IN HOUSTON BEING OUTSIDE FOR FOUR HOURS ON AN AUGUST DAY! Still doesn't mean it's not a sport.
Coolness. I spent 3 hours in my backyard yesterday laying out a new stone/brick border for my vegetable garden, and I didn't break a sweat either. Enjoy it while you can....I hear the humidity and regular Houston summertime return on Wednesday. And a 98 at Kingwood Cove is nothing to be ashamed of. IMHO, any time you break 100 for a full round of golf you should be proud.
