nice car, but don't ask for donations. it's pretty lame and we already have enough bums in this town. if you wanted to mod your car shoulda bought a cheaper used one
Nice car. Congrats! Don't listen to the folks that slam Kias. Kia has become a very good brand. They are an up and comer like Hyundai was a few years ago and like Toyota was back in the early 90s.
I just bought myself one of these last week: Needless to say, I'm incredibly stoked. I'm moving into an S5 from an Acura TL (also a FANTASTIC car), so I still have to get used to the massive boost in power. I hit 95 on the way home from the dealership, and I didn't even realize it. Anyways Yoyo, congrats on the new car!!
wow surprised people actually took that donation thing seriously but then again the ones who did are newer posters who do not understand my posting style I guess I'll take some pics of the interior after work today -- it does have leather seats, the rear seats do have a heating feature and the front have heat and cooling. There is a panoramic moon roof for the rear and a sun roof in the front. Its a beige leather interior which matches with the outside. Hyundai bought Kia a few years ago and been improving them steadily since the 2011 kia outperformed the 2011 accord when Consumer Reports did their tests. Most of the negative marks the Kia got was for the anticipated reliability - while Honda/Nissan/Toyota have done well for about 20 years now Kia is just starting to get better now. Hyundai's improvement is starting to hit more consumers now and in a few years most expect Kia to do the same considering how well Hyundai did. Fryeball: Nice car! I also remember reading that Kia hired/stole away one of Audi's top designers for their new look cars.
ah, i apologize. a cute little smiley face would've helped me notice the sarcasm lol. I didn't know that Hyundai bought Kia anyways. both of these companies are coming out with really nice, clean cars
I hope you're joking about fixing up the car as well. I don't know what's worse.. Fixing up a Kia or fixing up a brand new car that happens to be a Kia? No matter how nice you make it.. it's still a Kia. No need to dump money on the thing when there's nothing wrong with it. Besides, if you try to sell it in the future it's going to devalue the car cause I'm sure there's not a large demographic looking for fixed up Kia's lol. Plus it's gonna be a pain in the ass to put the stock parts back on. So you better hope to keep the car forever basically.
thats how it normally works but so far other than when I went to the dealership I have yet to see one around the roads where I live. There are only about 12-13 Kia dealerships around (compared to the 40-60 for other major car brands) so in general you dont see many Kias on the road here. They are starting to have their new factories in Kentucky manufacture the 2012 lines so that could change come next year. the 2011 model is a re-design of the Optima so I dont believe they'll make a major overhaul until 2015 or so. Part of the reason why I didnt go with a Camry is that the 2012 is a brand new design and I couldnt wait till Oct to buy a car and I certainly didnt want a 2011 model just to see the value drop more when the redesign comes out. Xero -- sadly dont have a basketball court at my parents house anymore the 6 foot rim I had many a epic battle on with the neighborhood kids when to the scrap heap about 12 years ago
i'll donate a LED to yoyo So your Kia Optima didnt come with Baron Davis on the inside like Blake Griffins did? I was actually seriously considering a Hyundai Genesis when I bought my car. It's a nice sporty car in the 25k range. I agree that the Korean cars have made huge improvements while the Japanese cars have basically stayed put the last 10 years.
how's the sound system? the easiest thing to upgrade is the speakers. you don't even have to change the head unit. Once I got rid of the OEM speakers in my car and replaced it with something good, it was night and day.
If spyshots are true, the 2013 Genesis coupe is going to look pretty sweet. Well, the grille/front fascia anyway. lol. Congrats Yoyo. Kia used to be one hell of a sucky car company about 5+ years ago, but since Hyundai took over, they've gotten better. That Audi guy has improved the designs. I sure wish Acura would hire an Audi designer - they can keep their engineers, though. lol.
Thanks for the led donation hopefully its not just a single bulb I did buy your active 2 game after all kind of glad mine didnt come with a baron davis i dont need something thats overpaid and breaks down every 4 months That was actually one of the sales tactics one of the other salesman tried to use on me when i was waiting around for my car to be washed. He showed me this large Griffin poster of the dunk that was sign and how it was the same car and all I said yeah I know its the same model but I am pretty sure that car is several thousands more than mine so its not the same car. He said thats all semantics and I replied since when is like 8 grand semantics? The sound system is pretty decent for being stock its 6 speakers - I didnt upgrade to the 8 speaker system since that was 2k more along with a nav system (i have tom tom already on my phone) and if I was going to upgrade the sound system I would just get an after market one.
so... When are you going to dunk while jumping over the middle portion of the car? I'm sure Kia would pay off the balance of the car if you were able to complete it.
haha awesome.. should have asked him to throw in the signed poster from Blake Griffin and he's got himself a deal
Congrats on the new ride... I just hit 100k on my car today. (mazda) I'll probably be in the market for a car a year from now KIA will probably be on my shortlist...GOod looking car
