    Da: Absolutely and thanks. Looks like the few original bands they do book are pretty heavy hitters. Not sure if they'd be interested in someone that won't make them much money. As the saying goes, 15 percent of nothing is...you know the rest. :)

    But, yeah, I'd definitely welcome the chance to find someone in Austin. We'd like to have someone that books that entire area - Austin, San Marcos, San Antonio - even Dallas. We don't have anyone currently and have been looking.

    Nice sound...I really like the 2nd song......I sent your email to my pal...GOOD LUCK !

    I have a good friend who was in a band that just about got signed in the UK in the 90s, their music was AWESOME, but they broke up over a girl.....typical huh.

    Their band was called "Beware the Green Monkey" and recently in Rolling Stone one of the UK editors listed them as one of his 3 favorite bands of all time along with "The Cure" and "The Stones" my buddy has that hanging on his wall.

    Their music was never released as they were before the age of being able to do it yourself, I have one of the only CD's they ever made. I wonder if they would let me post their MP3s here if anyone is interested.

    Sorry for wandering.....I really REALLY REALLY like that 2nd song Jeff......and I mean REALLY !

    Jeff, I really wanted to make it out this weekend - I hope it went well. I know you guys are a busy bunch as individuals but you gotta gig more, give your peeps more opportunities to catch you. This town is so spread out you could play a differnt part of town every weekend and not worry about oversaturating. My .02 :) - I know it is grueling, but you will move a lot more product that way. Just beware of the Lange (but you know this).

    We would play more if there were more venues. You can't play Rudz more than 3 times a year and there are only a handful of venues for original music. Since we have zero interest in playing covers, that rules us out at any places that want us to play 3 hours.

    In reality, we are not overly concerned with selling CD's. Hell, even well-known indie bands make more from performances, downloads of extra stuff and merchandise that they ever do from selling CD's on the whole. It's just a different music business.

    We are playing out at a new place on the north side in August and back on the south side at Bohemeo's in September. For us, that's pretty busy especially since we'll try to book a few out-of-town gigs between now and November 1 as well and hopefully be back in the studio by that time working on new material.
