correct me if im wrong, but isnt this guy in trial for committing a crime??? err yeah no thanks to troublemakers. seriously you don't read about anything or see anything that involves any of the rockets players and the law. let's not start now thanks.
JAckson would thrive here IMHO. He needs structure and family- he is from Port Arthur. He will love playing for Van Gundy. He thrived in ATL, Played very well in big games for SA. He did not get into any trouble in SA with Poppovich as coach. JAckson played for Port Arthur Lincoln High school-his mom is a teacher in the Port Arthur area. Jackson has done a lot for the community there - including funding a school for special - gifted poor students. Look how well he defended Dirk in the 1st game - 14 points for Dirk!!!! From his perspective in Detroit- he was protecting his team mate. He was a very long way from home then.
Stephen Jackson will get into fights constantly with Lucas, Head, and Hayes and kill team chemistry. He's been known to dislike midgets.
No, he thinks he is Tmac and turns the ball over a lot.... Outside of a GS offense he is not all that attractive as a player. DD
His attitude is not very attractive for this team, but actually, this season (or half season) with GS, he's been very well behaved, and VERY productive. I would much rather have sjax than telfair/bonzi/swift thats for sure. if he can make it through the playoffs without causing any sh*t, id be very happy to get him. not sure what hed play tho... you think maybe he can go PF?
LOL that was just last night i think he is a pretty solid no-frills type scorer. got 15pts a game easily in indianas half court offense. dont see why he cant get 15 here in houston. especially if hes well coached.
outside of a GS offense he plays just fine. he won his ring with the spurs; not exactly a wheeling and dealing offense. and he loved playing for hard-nosed pop, i remember watching interviews with him talking about how he was an agry guy and he appreciated pop keeping him in line. i would love sjax on this team, with all his baggage. because his baggage happens to be exactly what this team needs, someone who plays all out every game and can replace bob sura's bulldog intensity. he gets emotional and it'll probably lead to a lot of mistakes, but i'll gladly take those with all the positives. infusing some more emotion to this team can bring up the intensity. we all know how hard this team plays when they see tmac getting pumped up.
You do know that he spends a lot of time in Houston now, right. There is a strong possibility that Stephen Jackson would show up whichever club you are at.
I don't care what JVG did with Sprewell, we don't want SJax on this team. Take it from a longtime Pacer fan. If the Warriors are lucky, SJax will have a good playoff series, they will trade him this summer and get good value. I don't care who the coach is, you DO NOT want SJax on your team. He has major issues. Playing close to home will not turn him into another person.
I was just going to post something about this. He's really a good guy in person. I've met him once, and I have friends that play ball with him every summer. Of course, according to the people that I know who went high school with him, he was a nerd in high school. This posse he has almost seems like overcompensation.
Jackson would be a HELL of a lot better off the bench than Kirk Snyder. Plus, Bonzi won't be back next year. Jackson is less of a nutjob than Bonzi and much better on defense and behind the 3 point line. He also shoots 81% on free throws and is very athletic.
We talkin' the same SJax Indy couldn't wait to dump? Buddy of Tinsley whom Indy will trade Jermaine so they can get out from JT? Right, SJax to Rox.
