When I read a thread on spurstalk on if you will trade TD for Dwight Howard, all of the spurs fans voted NO. It said TD deserved to get retired there. I know Yao is not comparable with TD in that he didn't bring the H-Town a title yet. But hell Yao've been playing whole heartedly for the Rockets. Is a trade what he deserves here when he got injured like that? I have sympathy for you. You are not deserves to be a Rox fan.
I love Yao, but this has to be considered. If the medical experts say it is likely for Yao to have foot problems off and on for the rest of his career, then you have to start thinking options. But if the three foot and leg related injuries in six years is just a string of unrelated bad luck, then that's another story.
No. With Yao out, our role players are going to develop more, just like they did when TMac was out, and we have to give it a shot next season. Yao is too good to give up on b/c of injuries. No way.
Lets talk hoops. The clips offer u a big guy that avg 16ppg, 13rebs and 3blks, plus a 6'7 pg that isn't 22 yet and a lotto top 10 pick and u call me crazy. What do u do?
come on! we dont trade a superstar for uncontrollable injuries in the league, otherwise TMAC has long gone!! Its just I feel a great pity for ROX this season, with the current momentum within this team, they can really do something in the playoff!!!!! and shut this f**k thread down!!
Livingston is an injured player. Kaman is a pretty good player but we need a better player than him in return.
This thread is a stupid, unthinking waste of time. Only thing I'm going to say is, Yao will be a Rocket all his life. Too much economic value.
With the type of foot injury Yao had I would trade him as soon as he gets healthy to a contender that is desperate enough to take him. These types of foot injuries on big men are reoccurring and this no doubt will happen to him again. If the Rockets can get a reasonable offer for him they should take it, but they won't because of the financial draw of Yao.
