    Replied one of his crewmen:
<blockquote><i>"It's about time you start, then, 'cause the bloomin' ship's about had it...!"</i></blockquote>

The West is weak. Fight hard and they might surprise you.

I'm not surprised with the poll results... our home court sucks.

Suck is not even the word....it seemed the whole second level and beyond was empty for the Nuggets game.

Fighters, please don't call Tankers quitters or losers. Its just different way of thinking and supporting the team. Tanking this year for a better chance later. By tanking, it doesn't mean we play soft or not going after the ball. We just not play Tmac for 40+ minutes a game, may be 30 is about right. Start Swift and Head, play JL3 and Baxter more.....

Playing with half Tmac and we lost the Nuggets game by a last second gaming winning shot. Swift is out and we lost the Bobcats game in double OT.... seriously, luck is not with the Rockets this year.

No offence but let me make a wild guess, fighters are more of the younger generations while Tankers are older guys.....

whatever the case, rocks need to get a swingman good enough to start. until they do rocks will continue to play like they're a man down.

Alston and Head have already proved they they will be the future core players. It's Swift and possibly Baxter that need to improve and light up if they still wanna suit up in a Rockets uniform next season.

Also, I've got a feeling T-Mac won't let Swift leave. He's put a lot of faith into him and I think he'll work out/train Swift during the offseason.

I'd say it is the other way around.

Longterm fans have been thru bad seasons before, and know that things can turn around just like that, and are also more lible to hate the whole concept of quitting....thats the way we were raised....Winners NEVER quit.

whereas the youngsters want their instant gratification...yesterday.

and dont try to feed me this BS about how ppl that want thier team to tank are just supporting their team...that is the biggest load of HOGWASH I have ever read on these boards in the almost 10 years I have been here.

Tankers complain because the bandwagon is getting too bumpy for then. They should find some other team or pretend to love UT football.

If JVG ever tanks, we'd find a new coach soon after. Either management gives up on him or his players.

I am all for fight till we die, but the injury bug has hit the Rockets bad this year. I don't want the injuries to be career injuries by rushing them back. I hope the training staff and the doctors do not push the injured too hard.

i say fight hard and try to still make the playoffs...we're not that far off from the 8th spot cause we all know with a healthy team we are a lot better than a 12-21 record..

I am definitely old school fan. I turned hardcore rocket fan in the '80's and was a casual fan before that.

I say anyone who doesn't want the team to play its hardest to try and win every night, is a quitter.

Even if we got the number 1 pick next year, it won't helps us win a title next year. It will be great several years down the road, but we are close and we need more immediate help.

As far as using this as a time to develop the young guys, that is a crock. The young guys are and will continue to get extensive playing time because of all these injuries. Let's use that playing time to their advantage, but we should never send less than our best team out there, and they should always try and win.

The attitude that less than the Rockets best is not acceptable, and it does not help the young players, but hurts them.

I say it's over. Im in San Antonio and I want a refund for my NBA League Pass........ No seriously I'm gonna suffer through every game because I love my team.......... Just as I did with the Texans this year. Let's go for the lottery pick then we can talk about what the Rockets should do with the number 1 pick just like we're talking right now about what the Texans should do with the pick...............

If we got the number 1 pick next year.......... and Yao and TMac came back healthy next year............. I'd like our chances. We need to quit getting all of these guys in their mid 30's and signing them to 1 year contracts. We need some people that can hit the three. JJ Reddick would be good with McGrady and Yao. Just stand there in this spot, dont move, and shoot the ball. Where is Glenn Rice when you need him? Aren't we still paying him anyway? Wonder if Bullard will take a 10 day contract. With TMac and Yao, were 1 pure shooter away from the promise land.

Even with Yao and Tmac back we don't have a chance to win the championship. Might as well tank to get a great pick for next year.

There are battles and there is war. There are times to call a tactical retreat. You do not send cavalry into a mine field. You don't send infantry against tanks. There are times to regroup and reload. Unless you're JVG. Then you send your best weapons directly into a trench full of spikes, and b**** the "team" didn't defend well enough when the enemy blows through the lines.

Considering the newly implemented age limit this will be the weakest draft in many years if not ever. Not a good year to suck/tank unfortunately.
