Okay, caught SNL last night off TiVo. She's hot, but she landed herself on my sh!tlist when she crushed her boyfriend's vintage Mustang in the video. She should die for that. Plus that "dancing" she does is just freaky.
Nobody likes her music because they think she's hot. People thought Britney Spears was hot, but they wouldn't sit through her songs. People who like her music actually like her music. I first heard of her back in highschool in the late 90s, one of my best friends, who's 2 favorite bands were Metallica and Pearl Jam, had one of her albums. He tried to get me to listen to it, but I never bothered. Just now I went to her website and watched a few video clips from her Unplugged album. I recommend 'Donde estan los ladrones.' She's definately not a Pop Tart and she's not even a Kelly Clarkson who doesn't write any of her music. BTW, don't try and justify your arguments with music from the 80's, I may have been a little kid, but there's enough nostalgia shows to remind me just how important image was to all artists and how it's continued through today. Not to mention most of the music sucked back then.
Her music is defenitely an aquired taste. If you are a spanish speaker and know her music you know that her stuff sounds waay better and it's meant to be in spanish. Don't really like her english albums.
I think someone forgot to take their happy pills. she is doable, I dont have any idea what is wrong with Meow's taste in women today, temporary blindness due to excessive fappage maybe?
Her American releases are utter trash. However, she is one of the most talented female singers out nowadays. From a singer's point of view, she has fantastic depth to her voice, but it does not translate very well to English. If you hear her songs in Spanish, I think your opinion may change. In my opinion, she is one of the few artists out nowadays that have the talent to match the hype. In addition, I'd hit it too.
