NIce post. I agree with Shaka Smart being a great coaching candidate and a very interesting prospect. I've been posting that he should be at least a candidate if McHale were to be let go. It will be a shame if the Rockets didn't at least take a look into it, but its their loss in the end if they don't. He seems to be a man of integrity and is a realist who is extremely devoted to whatever his challenge maybe. Could kind of remind me of Erik Spoelstra when he first came in as a young coach and was expected to win right away and got the job done. I don't think Smart will be an assistant coach in the NBA though, being he got a good gig at VCU and turned down other higher profile college jobs.

Honestly, if we were to consider a college coach, it would have to be one with NBA experience. This isn't the type of team you hand to a college guy.
