I've been hearing a lot about Wiggins and I really don't know much about him. I do know a bit more about Shabazz and they both seem like they can play the same position in the NBA. I think both can be big time players in the NBA but I know one will be much more successful than the other.

If you would have a chance to pick either one, who would you pick and why? Since the 2012 draft is behind us, which players do you guys think will have the highest chance of being a big time player and other than Shabazz, what other players do you guys would want the Rockets to draft if another team got to him before us in the 2013 NBA draft?

Shabazz= SG with good athleticsm and shooting, passing okay. NBA comparison best case: Harden

Wiggins=SF Superb athleticsm, great shooting, allround game, potential to be world class
    NBA comparison best case= LeBron

Although Wiggins has just mediocre playmaking, so the Bron comparisons are a bit off.

Wiggins is a decent passer, not at LeBron's level though

Shabazz gets compared frequently to James Harden, Ginobili, or a rich man's Corey Maggette

Wiggins gets compared frequently to Scottie Pippen, Lebron, or McGrady in his prime

That really is all you need to know.

Watch the Nike Hoops Summit this past summer. Wiggins was scoring easily when shabazz was trying to guard him.. Andrew just flew past him on many occasions if I remember correctly.. Not to mention he was one of the younger players at the Nike Summit and was the most MVP while playing against players that or two to 3 years older than him. This kid is the definition of gifted.. Barring injury you are looking at a budding superstar...

On the other hand I think shabazz will be a solid player in the NBA like a black man ginobili...

P.S. Andrew's dad played for the Rockets back in the day..

Watch them play, Shahbazz is impressive nad he just looks more athletic than his peers and he is very competitive and a hard worker, he can be special, but at times it could be hard to differentiate him from a von wafer really. Someone skilled nad special who needs the right situation. I don't see him as a franchise savior or a guaranteed one pick despite the hype, although i also wouldn't be surprised to see him pan out, i just don't consider him a sure thing(a sure superstar)

Wiggins just blew my mind away when i saw him. I know the hype machine comes every year for the next big thing so i don't take it to seriously. This is the first guy i watch play and think that he is the next big superstar, more so than watching shahbazz or harrison barnes in hs. He has an understanding of the pace of the game and can slow it down to make decisions. You can see his vision and how he gets to where he wants to not just by being more athletic(which he is incredibly impressive athletically), but by setting the tone and you can see how skilled he is in using his ballhandle and creativity to just throw defenses off. He stands out and seems to have 'it' as a sure thing more than any recent prospect that i've seen.

Shabazz is a bit risky with the hype, I see potential for this to be the next OJ Mayo situation, hyped to death in HS, College so/so and then disappointment in NBA. Just don't see him as a bonified star.

I know there have been a bunch of Wiggins videos posted, but just look at this one and see if it doesn't make it plain. Wiggins is the complete package on offense. At this stage, he isn't the playmaker for other players that LeBron was, but he is WAY ahead in shooting from mid-range and long range. Shabazz isn't in the same class as a player.

I agree. I would love to see Cody and Andrew wearing Rockets Red.

wiggins is special, his change of speed, his foot work, his awareness on how to get a shot off...he is just so ahead of teh game right now. Shabazz is good, but you can see he is reliant on being bigger and faster, wiggins has the fundamentals down and can play the same against 5 star prospects or not, he is just smarter than them, has the 'it' factor. Shahbazz could pan out, might be an oj mayo, might be a von wafer or better. But wiggins is going to be a special breed as he continues to accelerate. Its no contest realyl in my opinion havingseen both play. Wiggins stands out above any recent prospects i've seen.
