Is anyone still watching this show? I was excited to hear Robert Knepper was joining the cast this season. But he was hardly used and has already been killed off. Real disappointing
I'm still watching. What this show needs is a riveting long-term story arc. Otherwise it will probably die this season. It can't continue puddling along for 10-12 more episodes like this. I used to think this show had very good potential, but now it doesn't look that way. I bet it is canceled within a month.
I'm still watching and think it is the best sci-fi on TV right now. It might be benefiting though from the lack of other shows.
Well gosh, I hadn't seen last night's episode yet. Thanks for that. On a side note, I think it's a great show.
I like it too but I agree that they need a better longer story arc. I will continue to watch it since I like it the most out of all the Stargate series. They need another bad alien race to mess with them over the ship. That added some good drama when the aliens came last season but they are gone now
I guess it's better than the hot chick dying. It'll be satisfying if Greer kills him, too. Wait, hot chick doesn't die... right? OK, don't tell me, I'm watching it at lunch.
On a positive note about Robert Knepper, I just red that he is set to reprise his role as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell in a 4 episode arc in the upcoming A&E series, Breakout Kings. I can't wait!
I hope you optimists are right. I'm a sci-fi nut and will watch almost anything labeled as such. But I don't think SGU has enough to appeal to a wider audience to stay viable. If I'm not mistaken, the ratings have fallen like a rock since last season.
I think the format is beginning to pay off, but I agree that they'll need some hardcore geeks to weather out another season before the buzz (and hopefully the hyped promises) picks up. Still hate the music montages at the end. It's not trendy or poignant.
Their ratings are suppose to be as bad as Carpica's, which got canceled before it could air its final episodes, wouldn't be surprised if the same happens to SGU.
It's too bad the show may get cancelled. It's dark like BSG was. But I guess people generally like their sci-fi to be fluffy, light and easy. Not too many other sci-fish dramas left out there... hope The Walking Dead is getting good ratings so I can watch that for awhile. (cross fingers)
Not surprising. I started losing interesting. The final straw came when . . . Lou Diamond was 'captured' and then Returned like 2 episodes later. that was just *****ty and ridiculous . . .esp after they did the same d*mn thing with the Doctor the previous year Rocket River
I liked David Blue in the show... the rest were meh. It wasn't terrible though, I was still watching.
It's too bad we didn't get to see more. I think they over estimated Galactica pacing as inducing "suspense" when it became boring by being episodic and most character discoveries not having any lasting consequence (people getting lost and found, etc...). Hopefully SyFy won't hold the last episodes and make another "season" out of them.
