There is a massive difference between Iggy and Shane/Trevor on offense, we are searching for a SG not because Shane/Trevor are not true SGs, but because they blow donkey balls on offense.

I think that would be a problem w/ Iggy...he's also a combo and not an offensive type w/ shooting range..but i'll take him for tmac's contract...he plays hard.

Yes, and for offense a true two guard should have the ability to share ball handling duties, iggy isnt that guy. Is he better at the 2 than what we have? Sure, but when brooks is still handling the ball 24/7 and getting trapped because our other ballhandlers arent great, then we'll be asking for a "true" sg. Again.

Yeah, I don't really understand the Christie-Battier comparisons either. Maybe some people weren't paying attention to all the ball handling Christie did on those Kings teams. He was much better offensively and maybe slightly worse defensively but overall better in his Kings days than Battier has ever been.

I see a name change coming -- DaDaDakota!

    DDD?

BTW, concur. Budinger is going to be a heckuva SG for us.

Who do you have in mind because there are not a lot of SGs that can shoot, drive, create and handle the ball in the league that are avaliable.

Mike Miller can shoot and drive. His handles are not terrible.

We just let him walk away from the team. Adelman just didn't want him! :p

and yeah his handles dont have to be perfect, i just think that although iggyhandles the ball better than Ariza or battier, he still handles it far from his body, which isn't good under pressure.

Adelman did not want the Rockets to be stuck in the first round of the playoffs again. Enough of that guy already, please move on, our Houston team has.

Yes,but he is slow and doesn't play much defense. Dunleavy is better than Miller but, he presents with the same problems as him and is coming off a serious injury.

Lets see who actually get those average at the mininum numbers over the course of the season.
    SF- 18ppg, 6rpg, 3apg
Lebron, Carmelo, Durant and Butler(last season). IF you insist on the <3 tpg, only Carmelo average those numbers this season and Lebron last season.

    SG- 18ppg, 3rpg, 6apg
Wade and thats it. If you want to add in <3 tpg, Wade did not qualify.

Great. So who are we getting with that 23m?

After watching the Den-Philly game, i've noticed that Iggy is same as Ariza...jacks up shots but can't also hit them...but what impressed me is his passing and dribbling...Dalembert is trash...Brand and Iverson are only the bright spots on that team...the Rox badly need scoring, think Kevin Martin trade is the only way to go..a pure SG.

and iggy actually turns the ball over a lot as well...only shooting 42%...he really isnt as good as some think..or should i say as efficient as some think. He's better than Ariza, but i dont think almost 10 million more is worth it. We'd only be getting increases in FG and FT of about 4% and 5%, about an assits more, but slightly more turnovers. Everything else is about the same. If we just keep Ariza in check he should increase his % by that much AND have less turnovers.

He's not all that old, but his scoring average is half of what it was three years ago. If he were even healthy, he'd be coming off the bench for a 10-21 Washington team......LOL

His best days are behind him....and again, the nappy hair!

I like Miller's all around game, but there are a lot of other guys I'd rather see the Rockets go after than Mike Miller at this point.

You guys are delusional if you think Chase will ever be that kind of go-to player. He has insufficient handles and he isn't agile enough to get around his man consistently. Not to mention he doesn't have the finishing ability. He will be a good player, at best a Ray Allen clone.

the finish to your post blew me away...you do realize allen was once that go to player, and still is in some ways?

I agree with everything up to that point. Allen has a much better ability to shoot off the dribble quickly and adjust his shot in the air or against contact. Chase has a nice jumper, but it's too robotic to be adjusted in those situations. Allen's a better finisher as well.

I was on the Kmart wagon too, but Kevin Martin is too injury prone for me, Tmac, Yao, Tmac, Yao, it is doing my head in.

What i like about Iggy is his durability and all his skills and tools are perfect for Rick's system.

I would be stoked to get Kmart as long as he can stay on the court.

Good god, man! If Morey found a Ray Allen clone in a second rounder, start polishing his place in the Hall!
