reading what you said does not make sense, care to explain?

did adelman tell twill to intercept inbound passes to dragic to see how twill defense is on the passing lanes?

so youre saying twill isnt even getting practice minutes?

please explain, or else there should be no fault to adelman. in regard to what youre saying.

What do you think the "correct" way to use Williams is?

T-Will would score 25ppg if he played.

He can play the point, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and being the same height as Chuckwagon, I'm sure he can play Center as well.

I know this because I've never seen him play any competitive minutes for the Rockets, but he is great on NBA2k11 when i use him.

Look on the bright side....as long as we DON'T make the playoffs in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 then all we have to give up is a 2nd and cash!!!

Don't spin it, if Adelman doesn't play TWill at all, Morey goofed big time. Bottom line, you don't give away 1st rounders for guys who can't or won't play. I find it hilarious that some of the same posters who worship Morey's every move take such pleasure in bashing TWill at every turn. Oh the IRONY!

If TWill turns out to be crap, then Morey screwed up, period. Especially when you consider the fact that Morey's strongest suit as a GM is the draft.

Yawn, non-lottery first rounders are like the currency of the NBA, it's a low risk move no matter how you look at it. He's already acquired two non-lotto 1sts to replace that one anyway. He doesn't need three tries to acquire talent in the draft, since the draft is his specialty.

Not to mention there's a lot of GMs out there that have the intellect of most CFs and they still think Williams is a budding star, it's not hard to flip him again.

    While you're yawning,

It is what it is. He traded a 1st for a guy that won't play. Can't spin it Sorry. And nothing says budding star like sitting on the end of the bench of a borderline playoff team after being banished from the Nets. BTW, non-lotto 1sts have enough value to not give them away on consistently inactive players. The Rockets haven't won enough to just give any 1st rounder away. We need all the help we can get that elite player the Rox have been chasing.

I agree here. I think Morey was realistic that this summer they will be getting at least two (now three) draft picks, and one more next first rounder next year (Knicks pick).

If they kept that pick anyways they wouldn't really have room on the roster for another young player anyways without shedding someone from their core. That is unless the pick was a lottery pick (which it wont be).

Terrence was a gamble they could take here and now, and get rid of him with not much collateral damage before the 2012 draft.

If they decide to give him another training camp next season to earn a spot on the team, they can most likely trade one of their 2011 picks for another 2012 1st round lottery protected pick to make up for it anyways. Given they really only have room on the roster in the offseason for 1 or possibly 2 picks. Not three.

All of this is assuming the Rockets make the playoffs next season with a potentially much weaker Western Conference and another offseason to improve they should be a playoff team next season barring major injuries.

When the Rockets traded for Williams, they said that they are treating him like a draft pick -- like this is his rookie year. Well its not totally out of the ordinary for mid 1st round picks to not get playing time in their first year. Terrence needs to keep working, improve the attitude, and come back next year a much better player. Then he'll get a fresh start, probably with a new coach.

Spin it however you want but the fact is that trading low picks for projects is like gambling, except there's very little risk involved. You win some you lose some but in the end Morey always seems to come out on top.

And like I said, it's not hard to flip Williams for another asset. He hasn't played enough for his value to disappear.

10 day contract... insurance policy and can play defense on bigger SF's. Might see minutes against Lebron this weekend if Patterson cant stay with him, Lee gets outsized, and Budinger is not back or 100%.

^ he's also an outstanding rebounder for his size. Plus, apparently he also developed 46% FIBA 3pt line distance.

Adelman was willing to give von Wafer some minutes.

I don't know if I believe that. I think that quote from Adelman pretty much destroys his value. I doubt we get more than a second rounder for him.

But, he has a sliver of hope given that Adelman won't likely return. Maybe a new coach will be willing to give him minutes next season and he can rebuild some credibility.
