Why don't we try and help them out with one of their long term contracts? Andris Biedrins, would be a fantastic backup big and the #6 could be incentive enough to take him off their backs. I say something like JJ, Taylor and the #14th pick for the 6th pick and Biedrins.

    Rox do it because...
    - We get the Yao insurance we desperately need and a valuable higher pick.

    Warriors do it because...
    - They get an expiring contract in JJ, potential in JT and still get a mid 1st rd pick. They most importantly get payroll flexibility to use on another potential FAgent next offseason or an expiring contract to trade at the deadline this season.

Much like the Donte Greene pick, the Rox could turn around and use the 6th pick on acquiring the all star we need.

It will depend on who is available at 6. But it will also depend on what the Knicks do.

I would keep those picks and Hill for an All Star. Don't give up all of it to trade up.

I see this as a way to make more of a minor move rather than doing anything crazy. Could be GS simply wants to unload a contract and use the 6th pick to accomplish it as opposed to doing any major overhaul. Biedrins + 6th for relief?

We've been talkinga bout Randolph for a couple years now, how many years does he have left and if lets say if this happens and he performs well, what would a deserving contract for him be??

Like you said, fantastic big man. He is a quality starter. I dont think that would be enough to pry him away just for our offerings?

Hmmm... The Warriors would be an Interesting trading partners... the main assets I would want from the Warriors would be Anthony Randolph and the 6th pick(Cousins or Monroe)... but I'm assuming their tag price would be taking on the remainder of Corey Maggette and/or Monte Ellis(Bad contracts), while at the same time giving up a young talented prospect ...

    G.S warriors receive -
    Shane Battier(6.9 mill expiring)
Jordan Hill (2.48 mill, former 8th pick)
    2012 NY pick

    Rockets receive -
    6th pick(Cousins or Monroe)
    Anthony Randolph
    Corey Maggette (Bad contract)

But it would suck if we had the deal made but didn't do it because we are holding out for Bosh....then Bosh goes to play with Wade or Lebron somewhere...

I'd do it depending on who is on the board at 6. Wes or Cousins...I'd do it, both have a shot at becoming fantastic players.

Wes kinda reminds me of Tmac...skill wise at least.

I like Randolph a lot, but I am seriously intrigued by Hill, why not keep him and see how he develops.

PFs with his quickness are fairly rare, and he could really grow under Scola's tutelidge.

Actually 9 million a year on a crappy team might be enough incentive IMO. He is a fantastic BACKUP big and good insurance when Yao needs time off but how much value does he truly have on the Warriors?

No. Why would we have to give up one of the Knicks' pick?

This is what I don't understand. Didn't Hill show promise last season? We know he has the tools. Why is everyone so gung-ho on trading Hill to get another player with the same kind of promise, only with a year less experience? Am I missing something? Are this year's top big men just that much better than last year's? Or is it that the grass is always greener on the other side, and making any move is better than making no move?

cousins = fat, last night i looked at youtube of all the prospects, cousins looks slooooow and basicaly not skilled at all,he wont be able to "push people around" like he does in college against little church boys

monroe= stud of the draft, he will be drafted 5-10 but will go down as "should have been top 2"...great handles like a guard, great heart, aggressiveness(something cousins lacks) , skilled

favors= not seeing it, looks more like 6'7, landry, but no post moves, everything is literally a dunk or else he cant score, no post game or jump shot,

donatas= terrible, skinny as hell, petite frame, i dont see dirk like aggressiveness, looks slow

wes johnson= wesley person, just dont see superstar

evan turner= probably should go 1

aminu= small forward, do we need another?

hassan= terrible post moves, dunk or nothing else, possibly the worse free throw shooter in history of sports

I just dont like this draft other than monroe. I hope we get Monroe. Man, if puts on some muscle,(and he can) he would be a very athletic center than can handle the ball. Amazing. You dont see to many legit 6'11 guys that can handle and shoot. Lamar odom 2.0.

I say get biedrins and monroe

    brooks,lowry
    martin,taylor
    ariza,battier,budinger
    scola,monroe
    yao,biedrens,hayes

hill, he has jittery hands, he literally bobbles everything that gets thrown his way or rebounds. almost looks nervous. he cant seem to take it to the basket, or pass, he can rebound and dunk but thats it. i say randolph or monroe > hill

    monroe> randolph

    randolph has SERIOUS maturity issues.

I think the Warriors want to hang on to Randolph as he is a cheap, productive contract.

The simplest trade I can come up with is Battier + Taylor for Maggette & swap picks.

    Yao / Hayes / Andersen
    Scola / Hill / Jeffries
    Maggette / Ariza
    Martin / Buddinger
    Brooks / Lowry

The Rockets don't lose anything necessary to package a deal for Bosh. They have Hedo, so they don't need Battier. Jeffries gets paid the same amount as Shane and he is also expiring.

I don't like the idea of trading for a pick that isn't Evan Turner, but if Morey sees someone he likes, I hope he gets him.

The #3 - #7 pick are worth the same to me considering the players and the 2011 Rookie pay scale.

I'm intrigued by Wes Johnson, if he's available at #6:

    #6 Pick

    for

    Budinger
    #14

Johnson does a lot of the things that Bud can do, run the floor and shoot threes, but he has a lot more potential defensively and on the glass. And considering our starting backcourt right now is Brooks/Martin, we could really use a rebounding option at SF.

Morey could be looking to trade up and package that pick for Bosh.

Jeffries, Scola (SnT), Hill, and the #6 pick for Chris Bosh.

    Yao / Hayes / Andersen
    Bosh / (#14) / Harris
    Maggette / Ariza
    Martin / Budinger
    Brooks / Lowry

Scola can only be traded, if he says he wants to, and S&T him for Bosh and the pick, i doubt he will want to leave Houston for Toronto or GSW

He is a loyal, hard working NBA player. I don't think Scola will mind considering his salary will be tripled and neither will Toronto who is desperate for committed NBA players.

They don't need Shane Battier. I don't see any other way to get Bosh.
