Huh......I think that was the worst waste of a couple of seconds in my life. Put the crack pipe down and step away.....please. I don't think JVG and sexy are two words that need to be used in the same sentence, let alone paragraph.

Thank you for an Excellent interpretation

sometimes I forget to put the filter on for the mentally challenged
or those incapable fo thinking outside of the box.

Easy to attack the Style of the message .. . or the messenger
    than the ACTUAL MESSAGE . . . . .

    A Tactic common among. . . . well . . .that would immediately
move this over to the Debate thread. I'll save that for another day.

    ANY WHOO.

I think we will do well. I know it. We will surprise alot of folx.

Thanks for watching my back, :) but just for the record I took no offense to SJC's comments. I assumed he typed them with little or no sarcasm and meant no insult at all.

No, actually it was only two insults of RR's post, he called it one of the stupidest posts ever, then he said you should work with mentally incapacitated people, which compares RR's posts to someone mentally incapaciated.

So you thought Rocket River's post was understandable, legible and made perfect sense? crash did display a very good talent for deciphering something that seemed utterly senseless to me, just like something expressed by someone not being in a sane state of mind - I was not the only one having that impression, as you can see from the reactions of the other posters. I could not have understood it the way crash did.

I just thought calling the stupidest post you ever read was quite enough, and yes I understood it even though I wish Rocket River would write his posts in a normal writting style.

Point taken, you are probably right. I was just annoyed after reading that post, since I think it is rude to post in a style like that. When someone then goes and writes "never gonna change my style", as if he is proud of writing like that, it does annoy me even more. Might be just a pet peeve of mine.

Edit: Maybe I should explain this a little bit more. I just feel that it is a basic rule of courtesy to at least put the effort into your posts that other people can actually read and understand them. When I get the feeling that people deliberately post stuff that nobody can understand and then gloat when people do not, it annoys me. Same thing when people try to write in some kind of "gamers" code or something. Everyone can have a bad day and/or just write some bad posts that are hard to understand, but when people do it all the time, it bothers me. It kind of makes me have a worse attitude towards that particular poster. In this case, it is also not the "style" of the message, as the poster said, but it is actually the whole lack of even trying to write in a comprehensible manner, and then being proud of it. Again, maybe I am particularly sensitive to that, and if I went too far by indirectly calling the poster mentally incapacitated (as you noticed, this was not only based on this post) - sorry.

You know, I've got to back SJC up here. Rocket River is, imo, one of the better posters on the forum. His ideas are generally well-thought out and are seldom canned from ESPN, even though I seldom agree with him.

But the style is irritating. At first, it made me just dismiss him out of hand. since then, I've determined that it's worth my time to wade through it.

But I do think it's a bit rude to contribute to a discussion board in a manner that's so confusing. I mean, aren't we trying to communicate here? I fail to see how that style facilitates communication.

Uh, Eddie Griffin is a shot blocker if you haven't noticed.

Did I say that he was a leading scorer? A leader? A "main man?" NO.

I said he was an enforcer, causes havoc (problems defensively for other player), and an x-factor.

P.S. Eddie Griffin is 21 years old and going on his 3rd year.

Maybe he's an "x-factor", but usually a player has to be able to hold his position in the post to be an enforcer or cause havoc defensively. Enforcers don't get pushed around, they do the pushing.

I think it is irratatingand rude to attempt to change people to fit/sooth you. . . .to box people into the CONVENTIONAL way of doing things. Making one into the CLONES of everyone else. I have been on the internet for years. The writing style developed from circumstances/habit.

Their are various ways of being incomprehensible. IYO one is acceptable . .another is not.

    This BBS is PURE ENTERTAINMENT.

Which is why I don't go running for Stat books to back up arguments that I know folx will not accept anyway. Which is why I tend to post in a more relaxed manner.

Somethings I can work on [i.e. spelling . .. that is just carelessness] but as for the style. . . that is a constant.

I could question you overall comprehension skills. . but then that would make me like you.

That is where you do not understand - it is not about changing people to fit/sooth you. It is merely a request to at least make a minimum effort to post in an understandable way. But I will drop it. I realize (also from your last post) that you are simply unable to do it, I think even if you tried, so it would mean asking too much.
