Don't give me that crap. UH has 40,000 students, most of them at the top of their age crime-curve. UH students probably commit more crimes than their school's neighbors.

Male student says he was raped on Univ. of Houston campus



HOUSTON – The students may be on break from school, but crime never stops. Investigators say this time, the crime happened on the University of Houston campus.

Many students found a security alert in their e-mail inboxes on Wednesday.

It revealed that over the weekend, a man visiting a student who lives at the Cullen Oaks Apartments was smoking pot and passed out. When he woke up, he says felt rectal pain and believes he was sexually assaulted.

"Someone came into the room and said did y'all just read the e-mail about the guy getting anally raped or something. It's sweeping the campus by storm," said Ronald Pullum, a junior at the school.

Students at Cullen Oaks say they feel safe because to get inside the gated apartment complex you need an entry card.

Still some believe this incident should be a wake up call.

"I think it makes you think that maybe people need to be a little conscious about the decisions that they make," said University of Houston student Muhammad Sharif.

Students at Cullen hope police soon get a break in the case.

Detectives with the University of Houston could not provide any more information and a spokesperson said they can’t comment on ongoing investigations.

Police did say they are searching for three suspects in connection with the alleged sexual assault.
