Amazing. Our team is full of a bunch of young hard workers who like to have fun. Going to be a great season.
This! Maybe I am being an ultimate homer, or I am still on a high from Dwight's signing, but this team has a "special" feel to it. I really hope we can put it together and make some serious noise this season.
Dude Asik is just pissed. Which is understandable. And if he needs some time to be pissed that's ok. Glad he's doing it in the summer. Not everyone has to be a super nice guy team player. People are human. They can act out of emotion every now and then. I bet come training camp time if Asik is still on this team he comes in and McHale mends the fences. Smoothe talks him over and Asik remains the same good guy give it your all player he has consistently been.
Geez, if anyone can convince him of the value of being a 6th man, it's McHale. He was arguably the best 6th man (for most of his career, anyway) to ever make it to the 50 Greatest of All Time list.
IMO, Asik is in the perfect position career-wise. He started last year and did great, so even if he is a backup for the last two years of his contract, he'll still get paid starter money (not with Rockets of course). He gets to be on a winning team and be an important part of it too.
This team has good chemistry because everyone is hungry. You got all these young players looking to prove themselves, and they are all in it together. And they all seem to have easy-going personalities. And even the vets are hungry. Garcia wants to be on this winning team, and he has a great attitude. Even Dwight is hungry and feeling good about a fresh start. The chemistry on this team seems fantastic.
I have no problem with that Omer is doing. He's working on his game and he can mesh with the other players at camp. Plus I believe Omer is Islamic so I'm sure his schedule is somewhat different if he is doing the fasting. You can tell that these are the dog days of the offseason when some fans find reasons to b**** and whine. Omer Asik is the LAST person on this team that we should have a complaint against. The dude is the definition of a blue collar lunchpail type of worker.
Yeah, one is kinda nutty and not even dependable in the d league, one was a HUGE part of our success last gr and came up big in big moments.
