The sooner that Mobley realizes that he's the #3 player on this team, the better.

Having the ball in the backcourt most of the time is out of whack! It lacks balance. Francis and Mobley's game are similar. And add the fact that their defense styles and body size are the same.

If Mobley was to get the ball almost as much as Francis, then that would put the ball in the backcourt most of the time. That's not a balanced attack. I'm not saying that Griff and Yao should get the same amount of shots. But it doesn't establish an inside presence if Mobley and Francis have the ball most of the time. And in order to buy into the TEAM concept, you have to pass the ball around. If you pass the ball to Mobley, just because he's Mobley (with all his skills), it defeats the purpose of the team concept. The only reason you should pass the ball to Mobley (or anyone) is if the Mobley was moving without the ball and he's in a good position to take the shot off the pick (just as any player should get if he's open).

Think of a five-prong attack (balanced), not a two-prong attack (backcourt only).

If you must play a two-man attack, balance it with an frontcourt-backcourt attack (Yao and Francis). NOT a backcourt-backcourt attack (Francis and Mobley).

Surely his late of excitetiness and single figure scoring is sign of him embracing this role... everyone should be happy now.

Or it could mean his shooting has been :

    3-10
    3-10
    2-13

He's still taking shots, but his shot has left him. Could just be a slump and nothing more.

    Dr Dunk,

Your sig is hilarious! I think I might have that disease...
    :D :D :D

P.S. I'm suprised no one has complained that your sig is offensive...("Hey, you're comparing Yao to a virus!).

    You know....that.

It could be that he has some personal problems. Dealing with his child or lady.

It is not big deal - there is NOTHING wrong with Cutino Mobley. Every 5th player in the NBA goes through it (see a typical 5th year Nba player) - it is called 5th year senior/veteran WALL. Yao just snapped out of his Rookie Wall recently, Mobley will do the same in LA in 2 weeks.

Those attempts are many fewer than normal. That's one of the things I like about Mobley, he usually seems to keep his attempts fairly limited when he's off.

I see your post rate has gone up recently...Is there something you need to talk about? We're all here for you. 18 is pretty high you know. That's pretty high, we may need to take you to the emergency room to get this problem under control.

    LiTtleY1521-o-meter:

Jeff currently 12119 posts and posting at a rate of 8.28 ppd(posts per day)

HeyPartner 12528 posts and posting at a rate of 10.37 ppd

LiTtleY1521 at 739 posts and posting at a rate of 18.28 ppd

    I'll use an equation J=jeff's posts H=heypee's posts L=LiTtleY1521's posts jr=jeff's rate hr=heypee's rate lr=LiTtleY1521's rate x=time in days

    J+(jr(x)) = L+(lr(x)) and H+(hr(x)) = L+(lr(x))

Using these equations you can determine X, the time in days that it will take LiTtleY1521 to reach Jeff and Heypee in the post count game that he is evidently playing. The game playing is a different theory that has not been proven as it is, in fact, just a theory. More on that in a different post.

The results of my study have shown that LiTtle1521(who poorly choose his name for typing purposes IMHO) will need 1138 days to catch Jeff and 1490.39191 to catch HeyPartner. If these rates stay fixed LiTtleY1521 will own the highest post count in the year 2007 on March 17th at roughly 11:32 in the PM(don't worry I counted Leap year day). LiTtleY1521 will be 79 years young(born August 8, 1927) and still typing and clicking strong. This is of course only if LiTtleY1521 entered his correct date of birth and BiggestEltonFan1522 does not register after the trade and start eclipsing LiTtleY1521 by posting at the estonishing rate of 42 posts per day in honor of Elton's career long number 42. "Forty-two was just the biggest jersey when he was little and he was always the biggest guy. He just kept it." Yes I did look that up on his fan site.

Long story short we will have a starting lineup of Yao, Elton, Eddie Griffin, Francis and TJ Ford on March 17th, 2007 and we will be defending our 5th title in our history. Boki, our sixth man, will come off the bench to score 35 points against the second best team in the league, the Pistons(who did win the Lebron sweepstakes) LiTtleY1521 will have 27976 posts and counting. BiggestEltonFan1522 will have a whopping 62496(trade still 2 days away).

Feel free to check all of my math, it was well researched.

    DG,

Would you mind putting together a formula that will show how long it will take me to pass up HP? :p

Seriously, anyone that posts more than 14.75 times a day is a loser. ;) :p

    Sorry, the formula:

    C+(cr(x)) = L+(lr(x))

    where C=codell's posts; cr=codell's rate; x=time in days; L=LiTtleY1521's posts; lr=LitTtleY1521's rate

Just in case you wanted to know, BiggestEltonFan1522 will have 96516 posts on the day that you surpass HeyPee.

Edit: LiTtleY1521 has increased his posting to 18.41 ppd so my numbers should already be off.
