I think this is key. I don't think it will take the whole MLE (Splitter signed for 3 years $10 mil.) though.

i dont think thats the case with him, the mle should be fine in my opinion, i think the rockets are gona bring him over as soon as ab can land us a star player. i mean why wouldnt he come to a team thats close to winning a championship, plus he would have to learn our system before he can become a starter hes not gona come in and start just like that.

He's not thinking about that right now, he's about winning a Euroleague with Real Madrid. NBA is a medium-long term goal for him.

Could be signable at the summer of 2012, specially if he has won already a Euroleague.

AB can land us a star player by improving as much this season as he did last season.

    You heard it here first.

I hate that I have to clarify this, but what I was implying is that Brooks is going to become a star point guard in this league.

Dude was a second round pick and was coming off the bench in the Euro league.

I am still confused as why so many on this board were hyping him as if he was the next Rubio or something.

Different style of play in some overseas leagues. Brandon Jennings came off the bench. Von Wafer's Greek team signed him to decent money and brought him off the bench.

He probably have an opting out clause at some point for the NBA. All the high profile draftees do.

You're right. His contract will likely be in the Scola/Splitter range and not full MLE. I was just going with the "he blows up and becomes best Euro player" scenario, in which case, he may cost the full MLE.

Regardless, I'm of the belief that whether he comes over depends solely on how much the Rockets like him. If they like him enough, his contract with Real Madrid is not going to get in the way. Neither will Lowry or Brooks.

Coming off the bench means nothing in Europe. Spanoullis comes off the bench for his team and has won EURO Final Four MVP doing so among many other things. Many consider Lull the 2nd best young Euro PG right behind Rubio
