What trade value do his rights have; maybe it's a Rocket short coming and not an NBA. Whatever the case is time to move on.
Hard to tell, but maybe Grizzlies and Spurs (with Marc and Pau vouching) are two teams that may have interest in him -> and two team that will probably have Sergio's interest.
You would if he came here. Perfect combo guard next to Harden. Plays with fire. Hits big shots. Fearless. Etc.
You guys act like he is the saviour for this franchise, he ain't that good. He's not better than the great V-Span.
Serg Lulz sucks. He knows he has no chance in the NBA and made the correct decision to stay at the minor leagues.
I've been a proponent of trying to bring Sergio Llull over here (under the right circumstances), but I've always been relatively level-headed about what I thought he could be. Basically, I view Llull as a Patrick Beverley-level type of player. A good third guard or maybe a starter in the right setting. His skillset is totally different from Bev's (he can handle the ball and maybe even get his own shot), but I view him as a similar quality of player. I seriously doubt he will be an NBA star. But that doesn't mean that fans shouldn't want to add him. The reason Llull is talked about disproportionately to his talent level is that he is the best player for whom the Rockets have EXCLUSIVE DRAFT RIGHTS. That totally changes the conversation, since he cannot sign with any other NBA team. If he stays in Spain, so be it. I'm not going to get my panties in a wad either way. But his addition could help this team, and that's what I'm all about. Getting mad about him seems like a waste of time and a poor allocation of one's energy.
Pretty much this. ^ Just because someone wants him here doesn't mean we think he's a savior. Some posters take things to the nth degree. But he'd be the right sort of guard alongside Harden. Certainly he won't be a $12,000,000 passive drunk who stands in the corner with his thumb in his ass waiting for a trade to another team where he will also suck. (Ty.)
Llull said he would come to the NBA when the time is right. It ain't always about the money, especially, if you already got money. He would rather be a big fish in a small pond. Which is why I think he signed an extension with Real Madrid til 2021.
