Rookie mistake, Serge. Expect Kevin to have a horrible shooting night, unless Lebron gets over aggressive and gets in foul trouble.
Serge may be purposefully firing up LeBron to make him work more on defense and tire him out on the offensive end. If LeBron isn't scoring, Miami's role players sure won't be.
Lebron is only asked to lead the team in assist, points, rebounds, minutes and guard the best player on the other team. Why not ask him to guard the best natural scorer the league has seen since Jordan the whole game. No biggie. I think Lebron is too locked in and focused off of his own desire (for the first time in his career) to even listen to anyone on OKC, let alone their third or fourth (maybe even 5th most important) player this series.
LeBron, you're not the demon spawn of Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan while playing 48 minutes a game except for brief stretches when the team really needs it and it makes sense to allocate your energy - THEREFORE U ARE NOT GOOD @ DEFENSE Next up on Serge Ibaka's critical evaluations:
Ibaka is a freaking genius: Motivate Lebron to over exert himself on defense while guarding Durant and get into foul trouble.
Jason Terry called out Lebron last year in the finals and it sure didn't fire up Lebron to shut him down.
It won't work. Lebron is one of the most unselfish (on the court) superstars we have seen and could care less what it takes to win. He is not on the court to make things a one-on-one battle or out to prove his individual talents.
Jason Terry and Dirk were insanely hot last year from game 4 on. Nobody could stop them last year. It was an anomoly. If Durant and Westbrook get as hot as those two then Miami won't win another game.
