Serge Ibaka fights/chokes Rockets legend for no apparent reason

Yeah, like YOLO mentioned Chriss actually took a swing and connected to Ibaka. If he just talked he wouldn’t be fined. Look at one of the alternate views of the fight again.

Yeah that's not the fight I was expecting, but closest we got in years It is a pretty bad look for Ibaka given Chriss had his back turned. I don't care what was said, you need to keep your cool. He did handle Chriss and I'm sure Ibaka could kick 90% of the NBA's ass. He wasn't messing around. 5 games probably.

 

Rondo suspended 3 games, CP3 just 2. Don't expect much more for Ibaka.

Yeah, Ibaka did exactly what he should have. Flipped out over some dumb comment. Went half-Sprewell ("never go full Sprewell"). Gonna get a niiiiiice suspension. But at least he ain't no punk. Because, you know, you're not supposed to have some higher level of control when you're in the NBA; it's just like a public basketball court.

 

yup, dont blame him one bit. theres times where people need to be put in their place. chriss asked for it and i bet he'll think twice about doing anything like that again. then again, he's about to be out of the league anyway so he can probably try to do that kind of stuff in the overseas leagues

Chriss told him to stay on his knees like he's used to so Ibaka had the all clear by the NBA and twitter.

 

Chriss is also a nobody in the league but that didnt prevent Ibaka from losing his mind.

Maybe Chriss disrespected Ibaka but Ibaka disrespected the Raptors by getting suspended over nothing. He is being paid by the Raptors organization millions of dollars but he went and got suspended over nothing. Thats not how a basketball professional should act they should expect to get heckled and trashtalked because thats part of the game they are getting paid to play.

once again getting paid to play doesn't mean you get paid to get disrespected. Ibaka felt some type of way after what chriss did. He acted. oh well. its easy for you to sit back and say differently. why money is even brought into the conversation is beyond me

 

Money is brought into the conversation because keeping a cool head is part of his responsibilities as a professional basketball player.

It's easy for me because as a mere fan I have no such responsibilities. I'm sure hundreds of players feel disrespected on the court every single day but few of them start throwing punches.
