Hey dada, you sound like a big fan, any chance of a game based on this movie/series coming out? I'd like to say this is a great series.
I want an MMORPG of it... that would be awesome. As far as the series go... here I am taking an "easy" Friday night (ie no drinking with friends) and I'm in the middle of episode 7, "Jayne's Town" and I get called into work because one of our DS3 lines goes down... DAMN YOU SBC, DAMN YOU TO HELL! off to work I go
That's what I was just thinking. You can almost see DD salivating, lol! I've yet to see it, but I will this weekend.
Actually we were meeting with Joss Whedon a year and a half ago to do a Firefly game....not an MMO but a Privateer style game, then we got bought out and had to cancel. However, I am still president of Gizmondo, but I have a 2nd game company starting up working on an MMO, and we have contacted Joss' agent to work together... Can't say anything yet, but I am VERY VERY hopeful...and no it is not firefly. DD
That sucks. Jayne's Town was the best episode out of all of them. Short of Family Guy, I seriously can't think of another show that I've watched recently that had me giggling like a little girl.
Not Firefly? Well, gee, that leaves Buffy and Angel... and Buffy works much better as an MMO than Angel does.
DD, an MMO based on Firefly would be an instant classic. You'd have the sci-fi feel of a Star Wars Galaxies and Anarchy Online mixed with a bit of Wild West... I've been wishing for a good western game for years.
I finished the Firefly series last night, and WOW that was amazing... I can't believe I didn't watch it when it came out. I noticed in the extra features that Joss has said he wants to bring the show back and finish the untold stories... and he hopes that the full length feature would be the catalyst for that. The Sci-Fi channel or others like it would be stupid to pass up on bringing this amazing show back.
Hopefully, the movie will bring in new fans like yourself and make a new Firefly series or movie sequel possible!
The biggest problem that firefly has.....THE STUPID NAME. Man, I bet if they changed the title, it'd double its audience.
I watched the whole 1st season of Firefly on DVD over the weekend, and you guys were right. Its a great show, and I can't wait to see Serenity!
Yeah, that is what I had to do. As far as the name goes I think "Serenety: The Series" would be much hipper then Firefly... Firefly isn't exactly the best name in the world even knowing the history of it. I think Firefly the ship is a great concept just not sure about it as the name tag for the entire series.
