Pre-ordered the collectors edition of Halo 3...also got my pre-order in on the special edition halo 360....cannot wait!
It's that time again, Fall season aka video game (and rockets) season. Here's what I've got lined up to purchase this crazy Fall: Halo 3 (although I'm not too hyped up about it) NBA 2K8 (the BEST SIM b-ball game franchise period) The Simpsons Game (offline co-op games need to come back, plus the parodies in the game look hilarious, i.e. Grand Theft Scratchy, Medal of Homer, Bartman Begins, etc.) Call of Duty 4 (it looks amazing) Assassin's Creed (stealthy gameplay looks interesting) "Maybes" include Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (the roster looks like crap this year, and it's apparent that THQ keeps dishing out the same game over and over.) I'll wait for the annual price drop on this one. DS and PSP games can be had with the click of a button on the mouse...so no biggy. And then you have Grand Theft Auto IV release pushed back to the first quarter of next year (thank goodness, too, because That's a lot of money going to video games). I need a new job badly...HR employees/employers, let me know where to get my foot in the door! Resume available upon request haha.
That's the best news Ive heard all day...I really didnt have the time to be able to fit in Madden, NBA 2K8, Halo 3, and Assassin's Creed....and I still need to unwrap and play Rainbow Six Vegas
Well RC since you were being selective for this month, I'll forgive the exclusion of .Hack/G.U. from the list. As for me, I'm not really excited about Halo 3. I mean yeah I preordered it, but that doesn't mean anything. And so what if I preordered the Legnedary edition? I think it looks pretty interesting. And I was planning to take the whole week off anyway, Halo had nothing to do with it. OK, so maybe I'm a little ready for it's release.
I take it you mean Halo2? Go back and play Halo 1, then immediately play Halo 2 single player - I just did earlier, the difference is pretty tangible in terms of added bells and whistles and plot twists, though it does remain true to the basic formula. I guess if all you do is play multiplayer it wasn't that different, but anwyway I'm more of an SP guy.
I'm the same way and playing Halo 2's campaign co-op was a little dissapointing for some reason to me. But, from what I have seen (which is very little) it looks much improved in H3. Hell, just the fact you can now co-op online is enough of an improvement since you dont have to go split-screen. LOL!!!

Not that I really think that many people care, but whatever. Heavenly Sword (PS3) Just finished Heavenly Sword a little while ago. Yeah, pretty much every PS3 owner needs to check this game out IMO. The visuals, presentation and cutscenes in the game are amazing, so there's a lot to appreciate even if you're not a fan of the genre (or something like that). I'm not sure how I can even go back to crappy acting, dialogue, music, etc., in other games now. Only real complaint was game length (probably around 6-8 hours...though I will probably play it for at least another hour or so, so there might be some replayability if you're interested in the bonus features). Although I was actually more bothered by something else in the game. I forced myself to rent it because of that (and other reasons), although I suppose if you were fine with the length of the original God of War (or other great games of similar length, like Ico), then it should really be much of a problem. I can go into specifics if people have questions. Easter egg:
Just a heads up for you 2K8 heads out there... the NBA2K8 demo will be released at 4am... XBOX360 BTW... The PS3 demo will be out middle of next week.
I guess I'll have to do without seeing what the hype is about. I just brought the PS3 a month ago, and my wife would divorce me if I bought yet *another* gaming console (already have Wii and PS3) Thats fine tho....I only have about 10 hours into Oblivion, and rented Heavenly Sword and Tiger Woods 08. What with 2K8 coming out soon, my gaming time is pretty well spoken for.
