Major I suggest you let this silly thread die rather than subject us to giddyup trying to administer the jaws of life to his credibility, which, I can assure you, will continue for many, many pages regardless of what it entails.

Sometimes, I get in the bad habit of getting sucked into these stupid things. I try to stay away, I promise! :)

This is what you wrote: "Don't know about the rest of it, but the first sentence is a lie... Doesn't give me much reason to trust the rest of it, now does it?" Not only that but you depict it as a lie rather than an error. Seems like I've seen that same kind of trigger-happy execution with GWB... I don't know...

You rejected it based on the first factual error. Also, I'd like to point out that not all of the assertions of the piece have been overturned.

Again, I posted it for discussion without bothering to check the veracity of everything in it. Why is it so scary to discuss something. Put your ego on the shelf. Mine's in the basement.

Didn't you see? Washington liked to dress up as Zeus. There were toga parties all of the time. They also sacrificed a lot of goats.

Okay, this thread is getting good now. It's always worthwhile,
and we owe giddyup a great deal. From the bottom of my
    cold heart, giddy: thank you.

Anybody seen The Passion? Let's see, Jesus was ridiculed, reviled, and crucified. Giddyup is mocked and maligned. What's in store for giddyup?! Thank goodness this is just a virtual world we are in here!

You're the one who asked which of these are lies. If you didn't want to know, don't ask.

You rejected it based on the first factual error. Also, I'd like to point out that not all of the assertions of the piece have been overturned.

I rejected it based on the first error, combined with the fact that you have a history of posting garbage that is proven false. Given that, I'm going to assume anytime you post something, you haven't checked its validity and it's a load of crap. When that's confirmed in the first sentence, no, I'm not going to waste my time on the rest of it.

Again, I posted it for discussion without bothering to check the veracity of everything in it. Why is it so scary to discuss something. Put your ego on the shelf. Mine's in the basement.

I prefer to discuss things that have some credibility. If you post crap, I'm going to treat it like crap and you're going to get called on it. If you truly wanted an honest discussion on something, you'd start with facts instead of innuendo and falsities.

Okay, major. Next time. Your place. Subject: Bush Lied. You start.

A little pissy aren't you there, major?

The point here is that I proved using your own words that you dismissed the WHOLE THING based on one inaccuracy that you called, with great reserve and temerity, a lie.

I can't believe that RM95 thinks you're a good boss.. if you go flying off the handle like that.

Is anybody counting. To my recollection I'd say I've posted ten or so of these controversial open-ended pieces which really seem to pull the hotheads out of the woodwork.

I've got over 5,000 posts plus another 2,500 or so in another incarnation.

Judge me by the body of my work not by the toe cheese.

Unintentional Comedy Rating Score: 361,345,439 on scale of 1-10, unless it was intentional, in which case it gets a 4.
