would hit, but i'm married with a baby.

wouldn't risk losing them both for a few nights of lust.

just curious, would you continue to work a dead end job or quit and try to get a better job?

when we were saying goodbye, i told her not to drink too much, and she got offended thinking that i was assuming that she was an alcoholic or something.

I think she knows she's "hittable" and your jokes may have seemed to her as potential "attempts to come on to her" and she didn't like them. If she got that impression, then there is no way to change it, unless you start talking about your Baseball Card Collection or your affinity to Dungeons and Dragons.

EDIT: never mind, I just read your post before mine. Yeah, you don't say that to a lady you've just met, sir, much less to a business client, unless you're a good business to her.

Was there any relevance earlier in the day to the comment about drinking? Most girls would be offended at a completely "off base" comment like that.

If you say something like that to a co-worker you should better be on some good friend terms. If it's someone i've been out with drinking and we are pretty close...then yes, that would be ok. But if it is someone whom i've only know in the office i would have been a little more subtle...like; "have a good weekend, have a glass of wine or 2". No so offensive

granted, she sounds like she's got no personality and a stick up her ass, but still, always be a little cautious with coworkers.

Yeah. Girls who aren't complete skanks hate being judged, so they will get defensive at the slightest indication of a stranger implying something about them. When they're younger it works against them because they're so eager to prove you wrong, but once you're well into your 20's it doesn't work like that. Especially the ones who come off as "stuck up" (although I find that attractive), they want the perception of getting to know them to be similar to a labyrinth - long, elaborate and with plenty of twists and turns.

she's a client, a customer. i need her account, can't possibly be rude, especially with the fact that she's probably an insecure sensitive lady. i'd rather avoid her, but work is work.

yeah, you're right, and i kinda look like that guy, without making that face. the fact that i told her not to drink too much was because she told me that she was going to have dinner with her friend after work, but didn't mention anything about drinking. perhaps she assumed that she was a drunk or something.

ok, how about with co-workers? what are polite manners with co-workers? be friends or keep it separate from personal life which will probably make you look like an ***hole and not very social to say the least?

    Biggest turn off is...

    a) psycho behavior

    or

    b) saggy butt

    or

    c) long hairs around nipples?

    women (generalization of women rather)
    1. more emotional than men = psycho behavior from our point of view
    2. saggy butt, age + giving birth
    3. long hairs around nipples. wow. never seen it, and can't even really imagine it.

no offense to all women here, but women do tend to be more sensitive than men, and i know this, but when you're trying to do business with a representative who happens to be a lady, it's better to break the ice and enjoy the conversation, get the business. you know. but there's a line that you can't cross with women, you can't joke certain things that you could with a male counterpart. for example, their figure, if a man's put on some weight, you could joke a little bit and break the ice, you could even fan fun of yourself a bit, but for women. no.

right, even a short hair around a nipple would be gross. i think women pull them out or shave em if they do indeed grow them.

    not sure, don't wanna ask.

as a matter of fact, women do grow hair around their nipples, but they shave em. you know, if a guy ever saw that, it would gross us out.

maybe not all women, but i know for a fact that women do. i mean, men do you know.
