Yeah I think he just has to use his speed/skill advantage to make a difference on offense too, which I thought he did. Can do better but it's to be expected. I think an expanded role for Sengun in the offense is coming at a later stage this season. Defense and 3pt shot have to be at least average for his offense to shine. His FT% is very low right now but in his career he's generally been good for a big man, nothing to worry about there.

In 4 games, he's shooting 37.5% from 3pt range (typically wide open), blocking 1.5 shots and pulling down 10.3 rebounds in 24 minutes. I'm sure his interior defense will get better and I'm sure the team defense getting better will help him a bit with switching, so the signs are good. Shotblocking and rebounding doesn't necessarily make a good defensive C, but it's a start.

Alpi needs time like every other young player. He’s 20, he just has to improve his shot, master the high post and for the love of god stop fouling so much. He’s taking himself out of the game.

I think at the end of the day, he will be a high post terror with his passing, ability to make moves from the high post down, and if that outside shot becomes money, look out man.
